Zaccharie Risacher vs Cody Williams

So who you got? Zaccharie Risacher or Cody Williams???
Both went through some ups and downs in their seasons, and although they can occassionally match up against each other in theory, you can argue they’re slightly different positions. I like Cody Williams ability to handle the ball a little more atm, but neither is perfect yet at creating iso space. Both can shoot the rock. Give me Risacher, I believe in his shot more and ability to get open as an off-ball player is pretty good. His recent play has also probably cemented him as a top 5 pick and could possibly challenge Sarr even for the top pick, especially if Atlanta is open for a trade.

Risacher is ahead on pretty much every mock I’ve seen both professional and by guys like us. So I’d choose him over Cody even if Cody might have more potential upside. Zacc is the safer choice and has less risk.

I liken Risacher to if current Michael Porter played better defense and Williams to a skinny young Marcus Morris. Williams really doesn’t do anything but score, and it’s unlikely he’s going to deserve the high usage on a good team to make that useful. Could he get 18 a game on a bad team? Probably. Do you want to spend a lottery pick on it? Probably not. He has enough length to be playable in a lot of lineups, I don’t think he’ll completely bust or anything, the early top of the lottery buzz this year was baffling.
