Nick Smith had been ranked in the top 5 this year and is still in the top 10 for some mocks. Meanwhile Amari Bailey who had a very good freshman year at UCLA is pretty much a late 1st round pick everywhere you look. To me Amari Bailey is the better player right now. Smith struggled with injuries this year but showed flashes of being a very good player, both players are great picks anywhere after the top 10 in my opinion but I prefer Bailey.

I think theres a good chance the Heat draft one of these two players.

I’m not sure who to take on this one. Imo Amari is the better player, I think I’d go with the quickness of Nick Smith though.

This is a fun comparison, both were top recruits, and scouts seems to give Smith a pass for playing like garbage based on his high school tape, whereas Amari was pretty good and most are putting him as a fringe first rounder. I honestly think if Amari came back he could play his way in to the Top 10 next year with a weaker class coming in. Nick Smith seems like a Jordan Poole starter kit, which is…fine. I don’t think he’ll score as much but I’ll take Bailey as a better all-around player.

Great to see you back on the site. I’d have Smith ahead of Bailey at rhe moment too. Smith had a disrupted freshman year in NCAA so I’d still consider his longterm upside he showed in his HS years.

I see Smith as going inside the lottery and Bauley as a late first rounder/early second rounder.
