Jalen Hood-Schifino vs Kobe Bufkin

This one actually happened in the Big 10 here…
Both prospects are within about 2 months of each other. Bufkin is the younger of the 2 by a small amount despite being the sophomore of the 2. Both prospects had slow starts and played good enough by season’s end to be in the first round conversation. JHS is a master of the right hand, and is slightly longer. Bufkin is the slightly more complete player with little holes in his game by season’s end. This could go either way for me depending on who gets drafted where of course, but in a vacuum, give me Kobe Bufkin. Imo he’s the better player.

Anyways, who you got? JHS or Bufkin?

Bufkin is better and the measurements were a pleasant surprise, he should be able to shoot well enough to play on and off the ball and top out as something like the 25th best point guard in the league. Hard to envision JHS making it as a starter, if he refines his defense he makes a good amount of sense as a 20mpg perimeter Swiss army knife type, hasn’t really demonstrated excellence at any one thing.

JHS. I think teams want players that can impact the game without touching the ball. On top of that he has a polished offensive game. I expect him to get looks just outside of the lottery.
