NBA Comparison: Tyrone Hill

Strengths: One of if not THE the most interesting international big man for the 2012 draft … His body and game have improved a lot in last few years because he has desire and a positive attitude … Meat and potatoes, blue collar type of player … He’s not a highly technical player, but he has strong and quick hands and a good ability to finish around the basket … His physical strength is excellent: good size, nimble, quick, and rugged … He is a great athlete in both the full/half court: in fact, he is also a good shot blocker and an above average ball hawk … He plays the pick and roll, often rolling for the dunk with no fear … He plays and starts in what many feel is the top league im Europe: the ACB, the Spanish league … While his game is rather remedial, he has an excellent idea of who he is and plays "within himself" …

Weaknesses: He has few offensive moves … Should expand his repertoire … He should improve his face the basket game, because he is on the small side for a strictly back to the basket player … He has to become more efficient at free throws (but he’s improving) … In Europe he can play both power forward and center, in the NBA he’s likely is too small for play “5” …

Notes: Measured 6’9 (in shoes) 225 lbs with a 7’0 wingspan, 8’9 ft standing reach,  6.59 % body fat at the 2011 adidas Eurocamp … Won MVP of the 2011 adidas Eurocamp …

Giovanni Conte 8/31/11

Strengths: Tremendous body with great wingspan and a great leaper. Intense and aggressive Dominates his age group in Brazil. Very active on both boards, snatching rebounds and blocking shots Understands the game very well and knows how to position himself on the court A great 1-on-1 defender, good mobility, runs the court like a guard and finishes every play aggressively On the offensive end, he has good post moves, decent outside shot and good presence inside to receive passes He tries to finish everything by dunking the ball no matter who is defending him Needs to add some weight and polish his offensive skills Still learning some aspects of the game but seems to learn very quickly Playing in Spain will only improve a lot his skills and abilities.

Weaknesses: Must improve his post game, he plays more facing the basket than a post game. He has some moves but can improve if he understands how to better use his wingspan and athletic ability to score around the basket Has a decent shot from outside and a good shooting form but it remains under-utilized, as he is impossible to stop around the basket against his age group Needs to improve his free throw %. Has a habit of getting into fouls problems trying to block shots He needs to add some weight. Has a frame that will allow him to add weight, but won’t ever be a "heavy" player.

Notes: Recently signed a deal to play for Spanish Team Unicaja Malaga which should be a good situation for his development. Lima is considered the top prospect from his generation in Brazil.
