NBA Comaprison: Juan Dixon

Strengths: Combo guard who shows some potential to play both guard positions … Smooth offensive skill set and surprising length (6’7 wingspan) and athleticism (39 inch vert) … Boogie has shown nice improvement in his game over the past year … Explosive athlete with a near 40 inch vertical …  Really became a prolific three point shooter in the last two seasons of college career … Smooth off the dribble … Very good in transition with bouncy leaping ability … Despite being just 6’0.75″ barefoot, possesses decent combo guard size with a 6’7 wingspan and 8’2 standing reach … Shows nice ability to hit shots in spot up situations … Shows some potential to facilitate in PnR … has become better playing off the ball and running opponents off screens to get open looks … Underrated defender, though may struggle if facing non point guards at the next level …

Weaknesses: Despite 3 point proficiency, not the greatest of shooters … Shot just 74% from the FT line over college career, though he did have one 80% season … Born in December of 2000, he’ll be 24 at the end of the year, making him another one of the super seniors in this year’s draft … A case could be made that he’s been effective only once he had a decided age advantage over competition having played the past two years against players mostly 2-4 years younger … Not the most physical of builds …

Notes: Measured 6′ 0.75” barefoot, 8′ 2.00” standing reach, 185 lbs, 6′ 7.00” wingspan, 31.5 standing vert, 39.5 max vert at the 2024 NBA Draft Combine … Measured 6′ 1.50” barefoot, 8′ 2.50” standing reach, 188 lbs, 6′ 6.00” wingspan, 31.5 vertical at the 2024 Portsmouth Invitational Tournament …
