Strengths: Super athlete. Very good size for the point position. Great competitor. Can dazzle with high flying dunks. Has a good stroke from outside. Consistently plays hard. Cerebral player. Has a chance to be a special player.
Weaknesses: Not a "pure" point. Prefers scoring. Needs to show he’s got the ability to control the tempo of a game and get all his teammates involved. Can get out of control. Must be more selfish. He’s the man.

NBA Comparison: Sam Young
NBA Comparison: Scottie Pippen
Strengths: Very good athlete, can shoot with super range. DerMarr Johnson has abilities almost never found in a 6-9 player. His offensive potential is limitless. DerMarr has one of the silkiest touches from outside, combine that with great handles and super athleticism and you have a special talent. DerMarr can play the 1,2, or 3 positions and is a very good passer.
NBA Comparison: Lamar Odom
Strengths: A small forward who can shoot, pass, and dribble. His dribbling skills are phenomenal for a 6-8 player. A good athlete, Mike showed the ability to shine in crunchtime with his last second drive against Butler when he hit the game winning shot with 3 tenths of a second on the clock. His patience and composure in the situation were amazing for just a sophomore. He has great intangables, good leaping ability, and a very good outside shot. Very cerebral and creative player.

Strengths: Super strong and athletic. Mentally tough. Great competitor. Can score both in the post or on the perimeter. Has very good ball handling skills. Versatility will allow him to play some small forward. His strength, positioning, and leaping ability will help overcome heigh disadvantages for rebounds. Excells in half court or open court despite lack of speed. Has good quickness. A winner.
NBA Comparison: Tracy McGrady
Strengths: A freak athletically. Super quickness. Very fast running the floor. Future wing player. Upside is tremendous. Has developed a nice crossover and like his idol KG, likes to play away from the basket and take players off the dribble.
Weaknesses: Underdeveloped body. Needs to get a lot stronger. Very raw skills. Jump shot has no range. Will take a while before he can contribute. Must learn on the fly.
NBA Comparison: Shawn Kemp
Strengths: Amazing athlete. As a senior in HS dunked from the free throw line in a dunk contest. Very good moves around the basket. Has all the tools to become a top PF in the NBA. Good hands, soft touch. Good competitor.
Weaknesses: Inexperience. Passing and defense can improve. Post moves can get much better. Needs to demand the ball and take over more then he does already.
Draft Outlook: Top 2 pick.
NBA Comparison: Rasheed Wallace
Strengths: Freakish athleticism. Plays way above the rim. Great shot blocker, rebounder. Offensive game is vastly improved. Can post up and take his man off the dribble. Excells in crunchtime as witnessed versus DePaul. Strong character.Weaknesses: Size, just under 6-9 and doesn’t have much upper body strength. Will get pushed around some. Injury questions.
NBA Comparison: Dorrell Wright
Strengths: Smooth forward with a good offensive skill set, has become Syracuse go to scorer in his senior year … An above average athlete, which compensates for some of the more raw areas of his game … Lefty with a quality shooting form … Has developed into a solid perimeter shooter in the past few years (47% from 3 last season, though on low volume of shots) … Gets his share of blocks on the defensive end …
An under the radar player … Showed nice slashing ability and a good touch from the outside … Shoots with good rhythm and is able to elevate under control and with good balance … Limited creating off the dribble and at 6-4 does not have the athleticism to make up for being an undersize SF.
NBA Comparison: Morris Almond /Anthony Peeler
Strengths: Talented & aggressive wing … Good ISO game. Plays better with the ball in his hands … Runs the floor well providing great spacing and making highlight plays … A strong leaper, particularly off of two feet … Huge wingspan. Appears to have in the neighborhood of a 6-10 wingspan, giving him good length to finish plays … Brings energy to a team with his dynamic plays in traffic …
NBA Comparison: Shammond Williams
Strengths: His physical strength is imposing, and his best attribute, helping him on both ends of the floor … Very durable, started every single game during his 4 years at Syracuse … Hard working, his quiet demeanor does not diminish his leadership skills, he leads by example … Bounced back after having a junior season in which pts, rebs, asts all fell from sophomore season, as did his playing time …
