Strengths: 6’4 scoring guard … Good length … Quick step with the ball, changes speed and direction well. Shifty and advanced ball-handler, breaks down defenders well. Creates offense for himself using an array of dribble moves to go into his shot. Scores well from midrange with an accurate floater and ability to stop on a dime to go into his pull-up. Always squared up and ready to shoot, doesn’t waste motion in shot, and shoots well on the move. Perfect arc on shot with his makes hitting the bottom of the net, quick release, and needs little separation from the defender to get a clean shot off … Hits contested shots at the rim using either hand with good body control. Maneuvers in tight spaces with the ball and successfully attacks gaps very well … Can get hot and score in bunches. Highly efficient scorer from the floor, as well as 3PT range at a high volume, and a very reliable free throw shooter. Averaged 18.6 points per game on 49.8% FG% over the Nike EYBL and 18.2 points per game on 50% FG% at the NBPA Top 100 in 2023. Shot 42.6% 3PT% on 6.8 3PT attempts per game over the Nike EYBL and 40% on 5 3PT attempts per game at the NBPA Top 100 in 2023. Shot 84.2% FT% over the Nike EYBL in and 91.3% (21-23) FT% at the NBPA Top 100 in 2023 … Constantly moves off the ball … Light on his feet and moves well laterally … Confident. Not afraid to take big shots and doesn’t second guess himself …
Weaknesses: Has much room to get stronger and doesn’t handle contact real well when taking it to the rim. Getting into tight spaces with the ball and attacking gaps may diminish a bit moving forward, hindering his scoring … Isn’t an incredibly explosive athlete and generally finishes below the rim. May struggle scoring at the rim at the next levels … Hunts for his scoring opportunities at times. Provides a score-first approach and will need to impact the game more outside of scoring moving forward, especially when his shot isn’t falling … Court vision is solid and keeps turnovers low but can improve as a playmaker, especially if he’s going to be a combo guard at the next levels. Averaged 1.9 assists to 1.2 turnovers per game over the Nike EYBL and 2.4 assists to 2 turnovers per game at the NBPA Top 100 in 2023 … Can show more discipline defensively and staying on his feet … Wears negative emotions at times …
Outlook: Miami freshman … 2024 McDonald’s All-American … Played in the 2024 Jordan Brand Classic … 2024 Pennsylvania Gatorade Player of the Year … 2024 Naismith All-American 2nd Team …
