Who’s Hot

Cody Williams (Colorado)

Colorado beat Pepperdine by 25 points and Williams was one of the driving forces. He had 21 points and 4 rebounds in an efficient manner, going 9/13 from the field and 2/2 from deep. As of right now, he’s one of the top freshmen in the Pac-12 and contending for the Pac-12 Freshman of the Year, and steadily moving up draft boards with each quality performance.

Tristan da Silva (Colorado)

Silva didn’t miss a shot against Pepperdine, scoring 22 points on 5/5 shooting from the field and having a 10/10 performance from the free throw line. This game showcased his ability to get to the line using his 6’9” frame and limit turnovers while doing it, having 0 on the day. Teams throughout the NCAA should watch out for the Buffaloes.

Top 5 Scorers in the Pac-12

Boogie Ellis (USC)

Ellis is having the best year of his career on the offensive side of the ball and has proven to be one of the best players in the Pac-12. He’s shooting 49.5% from the field and 47.5% from deep, both career highs. He currently leads the conference in points per game with 22.4 a game.

KJ Simpson (Colorado)

Much like Boogie Ellis, Simpson has gotten better every year he’s been in college. So far, he’s scoring 19 points a game while grabbing 4.5 rebounds and dishing out 4.4 assists per game which is all career highs. He’s shooting 54.9% from the field and 45.2% from three on nearly four attempts per game.

Branden Carlson (Utah)

The seven foot senior has been able to score on every level this year and help Utah be one of the best teams in the Pac-12. He’s averaging 17 points a game but the most impressive part comes from his shooting splits. While 47% from the field as a big man isn’t the greatest, 37% shooting from the three point line on four attempts per game is impressive.

Keion Brooks Jr. (Washington)

Brooks Jr. does nearly everything you want on the offensive side of the ball well. He’s averaging 20.3 points per game which is second in the entire conference. He does this while shooting 51.8% from the field and 34.6% from deep. Transferring might have been the best thing for him since his time at Washington has made him a more complete player.

Isaiah Collier (USC)

It may be premature for him to be on this list but Collier has shown tremendous scoring potential during his eight games at USC. He’s averaging 17.3 points and 4.5 assists per night which is incredible for a freshman. His 52.2% shooting percentage from the field is impressive and his 40% shooting from deep is promising even if he only attempts 2.5 a game.
