has anyone seen his pre-draft workout video?

    oh la la!!

after the nba draft combine i thought he would jump to the late 1st but after watching his workout i think this guy is gonna be one of the surprises in draft day and could jump to mid first..

this kid is +7’2 with an scandalous 7’8 wingspan and 9’5 reach..oh! and he has a 31.5 no step vertical..remember thon maker had the highest ever recorded for a +6’11 player with 32…

the guy is sooo fluid, so light on his feet, so coordinated, so smooth..he has an amazing range but the most shocking thing is how easy at 7’2 shoots jumpers, step back jumpers, fade aways, etc…the guy is just sooo skilled..and he makes it look so natural and efforthless.

yes i know, he’s only 220 lbs..but you know with what i’ve seen i just don’t care, i’d take that risk, and i’d take him no further than nº20..

plus then you have the economic thing..i mean he is the best talent out of china since yi yianlian so who ever picks him will also have a big economic impact in the franchise..

Yeah I was hoping he would make it to 32 and the Lakers would swoop but that is looking less and less likely.

He could end up one of the biggest steals. I’ve never seen anyone with that kind of reach move so fluidly. On offense he looks tenacious, but on defense gives up position to 6’2" guards. Yes, he’s crazy thin, but he’s also a pushover (literally). It’ll take a while to ready him and 20 pounds of meat a day, but he could be one of the top guys in the draft class.

But he’s not a pushover thats the thing. He fights through contact and doesnt shy away from plays where he could potentially end up with a bruise the problem is most definitely his weight and rail thin body.

During his workouts NBA executives including John Hollinger have given rave revues. Without copying and pasting his he basically said Zhou’s basketball IQ is good enough to compensate for his lack of English when communicating on the court although his English skills aren’t great he doesn’t struggle understanding things from a basketball point of view.

If Im a team in the bottom half of the 1st round with multiple picks I would consider drafting him. Draft him and tell him hes not playing NBA games until he gains some strength and learns English.

The main detractor against him besides his weight is his real age. There was an article a few years back talking about how he may be older than listed. If that’s true than you could have a skinny 25 ish year old big man with not much to improve

He looked impressive in the workout. Seems like a Dirk type of player, at least to me. Except he’s way more athletic than Dirk was, but also way weaker.

We shall see. I was CRAZY impressed by Kristaps pre draft workout and would’ve taken him 3rd behind KAT and Jahlil. Not as impressed with Zhou’s workout, but still nice to see something that concrete. The fact he has that much skill with that length and leaping ability screams steal to me.
