kikikikiParticipantPhiladelphia 76ers rookie guard Zhaire Smith has suffered a fractured left foot Via Shams Charania of Yahoo Sports.
Too bad better now than during the season!

HobbyOGParticipantOn that 76ers redshirt program I see…Really wish they drafted Michael Porter Jr. could of redshirted him for a year and would of been a very enteraining team to watch years to come.

220ParticipantWhat a shame. I can’t think of any team that has so consistently had a first round pick suffer a serious injury. Hopefully he recovers quickly.

RUDEBOY-ParticipantSo Now Zhaire Smith is Officially a 76er!!

OhCanada-ParticipantI’m sorry but I just dont believe this. 76ers just lie about this shit really. Every year they sit out their highest pick to have them work on their skills. Throw a walking boot on him for 6 weeks while he’s in public then get him in a gym doing full drills. SMH.

EndlessknightParticipantOne, he broke his foot at a non-team event so how can they be making it up? Two what incentive does the team have to sit him out? And when it comes to lying front offices Toronto takes the cake this summer.

sweaterflexParticipantI already liked him as a prospect, and with a down draft class ahead, he could be the favorite for rookie of the year in 2019-2020 with that 76er redshirt program.

BallerScriptParticipantI doubt, if I’m betting between R.J. Barrett and Zhaire Smith… I’m taking RJ everytime

Cutler06ParticipantNot sure it’ll happen, especially of MPJ doesn’t play for the Nuggets this year.

BeastMode716ParticipantSmith will most likely return by Thanksgiving as long as it’s only a single surgery

OhCanada-Participant76ers timeline for the avg Jones Fracture is 10-12 months.

HitsterParticipantSad news that he’s injured and he’ll miss the pre-season but they won’t rush him back and can put him through an effective pre-season and he’ll probably be sent to G-League to get some playing time.

halfdecayedParticipantthe draft was a L for the Sixers IMO.. Should have kept Bridges.

Lotto StudParticipantOne thing about it, you aren’t an official first-round Philadelphia 76ers rookie unless you get hit with the bug prior to your rookie season. Poor Zhaire Smith; dude was doomed through a damn transaction.
