1.) You’re the Kings. Lets say Embiid, Exum, Parker, Wiggins, Smart are all off the board. Do you take Julius Randle? He’s not really the defensive big that they want to pair next to Cousins, but he is the best prospect available. Do you take him, trade the pick, or take a guy like WCS?

    2.) You’re Orlando. Same question as #1.

3.) You’re Philadelphia and you get the #1 pick. Who are you taking and why?

4.) You’re Utah and Parker and Wiggins are off the board. Who do you take and why?

5.) You’re the Lakers. Who are the top 5 guys on your big board?

     1) Absolutely they should go for Randle. To me, that is a hell of a core with Boogie, McLemore and Julius.

    2) I would say the same for Orlando. No one left has an ounce of the talent Julius Randle has. I think he’d be a solid fit there too.

    3) man, I’d go with Wiggins I guess. Regardless of whether they sign Evan Turner or not, they really need wings and someone to run with MCW. That being said, I am very intrigued at what a Nerlens Noel and Joel Embiid front court would look like.

    4) Embiid I think. Him and Favors in the paint would be plain scary on D.

    5) I think they’re board should look like (in order): Embiid, Wiggins, Exum, Smart, Parker

     1. I think we’re set at the frontcourt. Cousins/Williams/Gay is more than enough. What we need is a defensive presence(who can contribute early) or a point guard because Isaiah Thomas is not the answer . Projecting we are in the top 6-10 picks,  Zach Lavine could be a nice pick. Montrezl Harrell could bring energy but he’s more on the late 1st round so probably we could trade down grab veterans and lower pick.

    2. Orlando’s biggest need is PG. Zach Lavine could fill right in. Imagine a back court of Lavine and Oladipo, pesking other team’s guards with their athleticism. I wouldn’t remove the idea of picking Julius Randle because they dont have an inside post scorer. He’s definitely an upgrade over Big Baby.

    3. Its a toss up for Wiggins / Parker. If they want a player who can contribute early and be a consistent player from the get go, Parker. If they want a high risk high reward who can be the best talent in this draft class lets say 3-4 years, Wiggins.

    4. Wing position is Utah’s glaring need. Hayward can play the 2 or 3. Exum / Smart / Lavine / Hood / Young. Jazz need some shooters, James Young could be an option. But I would pick him in the top 10-15 not in the top 5 so probably a trade could emerge. He can spread the floor and with the emergence of Derrick Favorrs could provide spacing.

    5. Wiggins / Embiid / Smart / Exum / Parker

For the first two questions I would take Randle in a heartbeat simply because he is a sure fire star and he would be much more talented than anyone left on the board at that point.

For the Sixers I would take wiggins simply because he is more talented and athletic than Parker(not a better player at this point) and I am not totally sold on Noel playing the 4. As a Sixers fan I am not totally sure at this point who I would take if I had the second pick. I believe that Embiid has way more upside than Parker, but I’m just not sure about Noel at the four yet. I mean I’m sure he could play the 4, but is he so muh better at the 5 that it would make more sense to keep him there. Wiggins is talented enough to pass on Embiid, but I’m not sure if Parker is. I’m thinking about this a lot.

AureFor Utah, if wiggins and Parker are gone I’m going with Exum. They already have a very talented front court and Exum is the kind of talent that could play all over the court

for the lakers, I’m not really sure how I would rank them. They basically have nothing in terms of long term assets so I hunk you just take the best player available regardless of position for them.

     1. Zach Lavine

    2. Zach Lavine as well.  Sorry Randle.

    3. Wiggins or Parker.  Can’t go wrong either way.  Both are can’t miss prospects.  I guess I sort of lean toward Wiggins because of the huge upside.

    4. Definitely Embiid.  Kanter has been a huge disappointment and if you pair Embiid with Favors that makes for a formidable front court.

    5. Wiggins/Parker/Embiid/Exum/Smart

1.Kings don’t take randle hes a great but T rob got exed his rookie year next to demarcus  the only post player for now will be demarcus if im the kings I trade the pick down  for another player and a pick or maybe somebody elses pick next year.

    2. You draft randle for sure the power forward spot is then solid that’s what we call having direction they don’t know what pos tobias plays is he a sf or pf ? draft him and the whole teams identity and chemistry takes a step forward.

    3. Hard……wiggins would be the choice of the sixers for sure that’s why brett brown was hired to be honest to help him(any top pick the draft )develop. I love parker but after deleting many sentences from my post lol  I have to select wiggins. Injuries scare me from selecting athletic players but he has to much talent and a good wing body and frame that that hasn’t filled out he might even grow taller I have to pick him. If brett brown wasn’t the coach I would have picked Jabari for the record.

    4. Smart there nothing wrong with stock piling talent. Utah cant miss right now so pick the safe pick. Solid sg are hard to come by and they will be back next year.

5.In order ( Parker – more nba ready then wiggins can help take load off of kobe now and also make push to another ring. he stretches kobes window,    wiggins, smart, randle, embidd

    1. The only way I’m not taking Randle is if Zach Lavine enters that group of elite players. Him at PG with McLemore and Cousins would be sick. But I not you definitely take Randle but only trade him at a higher value than the Noel trade last year.

    2. Definitely take Randle.

    3. Andrew Wiggins. Resign Spencer Hawes and have MCW pair in that backcourt for a killer offensive/defensive tandem.

    4. Dante Exum. Because you can plug him in at the two guard and have an extremely formidable starting five. Plus you have three big time prospects for late game situations.

    5. 1: Joel Embiid- the lineage of dominant centers continue. 2: Dante Exum- Easy transition from Kobe to Exum. 3: Jabari Parker: All everything SF would be a good start. 4: Julius Randle- Would crave that spotlight to shine and would dominate early. 5: Marcus Smart- Also has the alpha want to be top dog, would thrive under lA spotlight. I wouldn’t want to see the Lakers’ media tear Andrew Wiggins to pieces for no reason.

if im the kings, hell yeah i take randle with that 8th pick, and then i trade his ass for a pick in next years draft.randle and cousins would be 1 of the worst defensive blackhole frontcourts in the league

philly,im taking parker.he’s the most complete offensive player and he’s underrated on defense and nba ready right now.

if im orlando,im taking a reach on a guy like jordan clarkson.oladipo is clearly not a pg.with the success of mcw in philly,a tall pg like clarkson is worth a reach.him and oladipo would be the scariest young backcourt in the east.trade affalo to a contender

if im utah,im gonna take either randle or rodney hood.randle would be a perfect fit in utah being as how they play favors/kanter at center who are defensive minded and often start marvin williams at pf.randle would be a big upgrade over williams, and hood would be a big upgrade over richard jefferson, who is somehow still starting

lakers, its parker or bust.he’s ready to step in right now and contribute

    1) Tricky. If he’s there and the other you mentioned are all off, it means you have 6th pick or lower. Randle is too good to let him slip beyond that and there’s too much of a gap between the top 5 players in this draft and the others. But at the same time I think Sacramento and Cousins are a really bad fit for him. Not only on D, they both are low post players without a reliable jumper (unless Randle surprises us) and that’s not good for spacing. Also you’re not sure Randle can be better than Cousins and anyways Cousins it’s hard to trade because of his contract. Probably the best thing would be trading down and trying to get a player they need with a lower lottery pick (8-12 range) and another first rounder (in this draft or in a future one). Drafting Randle you’re under the risk of a drafted by the wrong team situation, which usually ends up with the player being traded somewhere else when its value is not as high as he was on draft night.
    2) Totally different situation here, I’d draft Randle, it’s a no brainer. First of all I think Randle and Vucevic can play together. Vucevic has a nice face up game and though he’s not a great defender, he’s still better than Cousins. Also they have much more flexibility than the Kings, if they realize they have problems playing together or that they give up too much on D, they can trade each of them depending on who has more value on the trade market.
    3) Not sure here. The need to go with the highest ceiling guy, who in my opinion is Embiid. But they drafted Noel last year and unless he has developed a reliable jumper in his year off I hardly doubt they can play together. Wiggins might be the choice here, he still has great potential and fills a need more. But on the other hand they’re likely to have another lottery pick (Pelicans’ one) and this year you might have a chance to find a nice swingman with a pick in the early teens (I think at least one between Hood, LaVine, Young, Harris, Hezonja, Robinson, Selden might be available) while big men with Embiid’s potential are rare and it’s hard to miss on them when they’re available.
    4) Wow, that’s tough. They have a logjam in the paint and they need shooters, but it’s hard to pass on Randle and Embiid. Kanter is not going in the right direction, so trading him and drafting Embiid might be the best thing, though I guess Kanter’s stocks are pretty low right now and they gave Favors lot of money and we’ve seen how the two big men formula hasn’t worked for them. Another chance could be trading down to get LaVine and something else (picks). I’m definitely more into Embiid and trading Kanter elsewhere.
    5) Embiid, Wiggins, Parker, Randle, Exum.
