Ed Stefanski for the Sixers he has allot of good young parts and overpaid useless talent. No stars or anyone close to being a star. Also Donnie Walsh that Ny roster is horrible even with Amare. They traded away all their drafpicks and they have spare parts. They may get carmello next year but he is a gunner and they still need a real pg messed up big time when they didn’t get Jennings. 

Other than that Portland has a slew of talent with 2 stars B Roy and L Aldridge so I guess Portland. same with the Clips with aging Barron Davis and sufficient Kaman and all the young talent. They just have a bad owner in one of the best cities……..

They have some talent but, not enough to win Amare, Gallinairi, and Randolph….that’s about it. Raymond Felton is not that good and Randolph plays the same positions as Amare and Gallinari, which are their two best players. Turiaf is trash and Azzibuke is ok but just ok. They will get the 8th seed or just miss th playoffs…..

If I wanted a challenge then the Nets would be an obvious team to be GM of trying to go the right way from 12-70 and then attract a good FA or two over the next couple of summers. Cleveland post LeBron trying to rebuild would be a challenge do you try to sneak a play off space or basically look to trade Jamison for an expiring deal and maybe some sort of pick, also look to deal Parker, Moon etc due to their expiring deals and get some young talent in.

With the Knicks I’d have loved to have taken the long term view and rebuilt via the draft like Oklahoma did as well as get a top FA or two in, the Knicks had maybe needed one top 3 pick in 2008 or 2009 to try and achieve this.

I would have included Noah in the deal with Denver to acquire Carmelo Anthony.  Melo is a young, one of a kind scorer in this league who in the right setting (I include Chicago on this list) would be a major cog in a championship run.  Don’t get me wrong, Noah is a talented nice piece to have, but not including him to make the Melo deal happen is a mistake.  It would have been even better if they could have shed Deng’s ridiculous contract.

I’d take the TrailBlazers and try to make a deal for Melo. Put Bayless, Oden and a 1st round in a deal for Melo. A core of Melo, BRoy and LaMarcus Aldridge would be nice for the future

Trade:

1. TJ Ford – He was given his opportunity and he didn’t make the best out of it. It’s time to go. He’s on the last year of his deal and is still a solid point guard, so it shouldn’t be too hard to move him.

2. Mike Dunleavy Jr. – He had one great season with the Pacers and it’s been downhill since. A lot has to do with his injury, but he’s never been a very good defender. He’s on the last year of his deal and still has a little left in the tank, so it shouldn’t be hard to move him either.

3. Jeff Foster – I’m a huge Foster fan, but it’s time to move him. He’s on the last year of his deal and can still rebound/defend, so we may be able to get a good piece that’ll fit into our rebuilding plans.

* We need a starting caliber power forward. I’d go after Jason Thompson.

Fire At the End of the Season:

1. Larry Bird – It’s time to go. He had a solid 2010 NBA Draft and the trade for Collison was nice, but that still doesn’t cover up the poor job he’s done here. It’s time to get new voices and fresh ideas in the front office.

2. Jim O’Brien – I’d fire him this season, but I’ll let him coach out the season and then send him packing with Bird.
