From what I’ve seen thus far in the Louisville game is that he only produces from the left side of the floor and is most dominant from the high post versus the low block.

Has it been like this for him throughout the season?

He’s had at least 3 scoring drives starting from the right side of the floor in the first half, I get tired of hearing about him being all left hand (its stupid, we only think left handers are all left hand because we notice it more, when its a right handed player we dont think twice about it)…of course he will score more from the left side because he is left handed and thats where they want to give him the ball.

He is indeed more dominant from the high post because hes so quick and he handles the ball like a guard. Supposedly NBA scouts were wondering why Coach Cal keeps starting him on the low block and I agree.  He’s arguably the best finisher in college ball and his versatility so far has been hidden which usually doesn’t happen in a Coach Cal system.

Him and James Young look dominant so far..

Not trying to bash him I just wanted to know has it been like this throughout the season. I also took notice on defense he has been defending the right side of the floor more than the left. I actually think Cal should keep him in the high post.

I only seen him score with his left hand.   Even times when he should use his right hand, he’ll end up trying to score with his left.   Actually him in the high post is where majority of his turnovers are coming from, I’m not sure him starting from the wing to high post is a great idea.   I think the reason why he’s starting so far from the basket is Guard play (or lack thereof) they can’t get him the ball in the low post and he has to start from behind the 3pt line at times.   He’s going to be a good player, I don’t see any major flaws for real.

Might be a bit of a tweener like Terrence Jones – but to me doesn’t matter much.  He can flat out ball – as can Jones and Thad Young.

I don’t think any of those guys are tweeners in today’s NBA.  They are PFs who can face-up, but none of them would be good wings and they actually lack much positional versatility, since they are too undersized to be centers.

I haven’t seen much of Terrance jones, but as a Sixers fan I am very familiar with Thaddeus Young and he and Randle aren’t even remotely similar.

Randle is much bigger and way more skilled in the post. He is also a way better rebounder. Young is a very good player, but Randle is a born superstar.

i think that Randle will put up better numbers as a 19 year old rookie than Thad will ever put him in his career.
