TyroberParticipantI haven’t done one of these in awhile, but wanted to see what you guys thought about this one. I have been playing around with Asik trades all morning and wanted to share this one.
Noah to the Hawks
Millsap + Asik to the Bulls
Gibson to the Rockets
Noah and Horford reunite on the Hawks. Rockets get rid of Asik and get a very solid PF on a solid contract that helps them afford Parsons big pay day in the future. Losing Noah hurts but Bulls get Asik back along with Millsap.

aivsdirkParticipantmilsap for asik straight up horford to the 4 for the hawks. houston gets a starting 4 who adds defense and can shoot. thought long about this 2 nights ago

KHAM83ParticipantEveryone has thought about Milsap for Asik deal, but the fact still remains that Milsap is a much better player overall than Asik. This deal doesn’t make Atlanta better. Also, another poster made a great point on here not too long ago about Horford playing his natural 4 position. In this era of athletic bigs, and very few real centers, Horford is more effective playing the 5 than the 4. I don’t think he can effectively guard the quicker face-up fours in the league today. No reason for Atlanta to do this deal for the sake of playing Horford at the 4.

KHAM83ParticipantWith my above post about Horford, what about Atlanta begin building towards the future? I say consider trading Horford for players/picks.
Denver for Mazgov and either Chandler or Gallinari, plus Knicks 2014 pick
Utah for Kanter/Biedrens, 2014 pick
Atlanta will still be a playoffs team this year, while grabbing another lotto pick, plus the ability to swap picks with Brooklyn.

mike_r232ParticipantAtlanta gives an undersized (yet very talented) PF in Millsap for a former all star C in Noah? That’s an amazing trade for the Hawks. The Bulls do get a lot of talent back, not saying they don’t. But the Hawks upgrade a LOT here. Not sure the Bulls are interested in trading Noah right now. Boozer and Deng would be the biggest trade pieces for the time being.

IndianaBasketballParticipantOther than cap relief after the 2014/2015 season, I’m not sure why the Bulls would do this.
