Remember when Collison was in New Orleans backing up Chris Paul and everyone thought he was about to become an all star? He averaged 18 pts 9 asts and 3 rbs ,while shooting 48% and 43% from 3 point range a game as a rookie.. ..Indy thought they had solved their pg problem when they got him..But after 2 seasons Pacer fans are already willing to run him out of town…After 1 full season in Indiana, the Pacers traded for George Hill…Hill has played well,but not spectacular averaging 13 pts and 3 asts….But i think Collison might be the most underated point guard in the nba….

He doesnt have the court vision,creativity or savvy of CP3…But he does a great job of guarding elite point guards,he’s improved his shooting since entering the league,does a great job of getting the ball up the court after a made basket and does a good job of running the Pacers offense….Collison is shooting  54% on above the break 3’s & 40% on corner 3s and his improved shooting ,so defenses have to guard him on the perimeter,which has allowed team mates to penetrate…Pacers front office does need to find a creator this summer,but they have a gem in Collison, who will fit in well when the team wants to change to a faster pace tempo…..

He’s an incredible 1 off the bench, and a mediocre 1 as a starter.  That’s really all their is to it.  He’s great in shorter bursts against top talent, but when he’s out there for too long, at his size, he either has to conserve energy, limiting his effectiveness, or gets worn down, limiting his effectiveness.

 When Chris Paul went down he was able to basically fill his shoes, because that was how the Hornets were set up. They were a point guard dominated team and Collison is no Chris Paul, but he did  a fine job. The Pacers have a completely different system and its really just not a great fit for Collison.

I was never that high on Collison. He put up numbers in Chris Paul’s absense in NO, but not the wins.

He’s a good point guard off of the bench, but not a great starter in my opinion.

Collison can be a solid starter,but he’s just not on the same talent level as a  Rose, D Will or Wall…

Darren Collison would be great for the Grizzlies.  Wonder if Pacers fans would do a OJ Mayo for Darren Collison sign and trade.

Grizz definitely need a backup point guard, and some scoring off the bench.  Darren Collison would help with both and could run our second unit.

Watching the playoffs, he didn’t have the confidence to be aggressive. Indiana doesn’t seem to run an offense that gives the pg a lot of freedom.

That is true. In NO, they ran A LOT of pick and roll, and I thought he benefited from that.

Yeah Memphis can use Collison’s outside shooting..But he’s on the same level as Conley i think..Expect Conley tries to attack more….

What happened to Dahntay Jones? He was a key starter on a conference finalist Nuggets team a few years ago and now Vogel doesn’t have him in the rotation half the time!
