tyrekeevansParticipantThey haven’t worked out any top 5 players in the draft at all. There working out players noone even heard of for there 2nd round. What’s happening here? The only good ones at worked out was Andre, and Damin.

mosdefParticipantmaybe they are drafting Drummond or Lillard.

WizardofOzParticipantI heard that most agents of top prospects don’t want the Kings to draft them. Harrison Barnes originally had a workout scheduled w/ the Kings, but cancelled.

sosgegsg nrgParticipantWhat you talking about? Last I checked they did work out MKG and Bradley Beal.

Lodzio20ParticipantThey worked out Damian Lillard, Andre Drummond, John Henson, Tyler Zeller and Terrence Jones

WizardofOzParticipant"What you talking about? Last I checked they did work out MKG and Bradley Beal."
I haven’t heard anything about MKG working out w/ SAC, abnd Beal only worked out for 3 teams – Charlotte, Washington, and Cleveland.

Lebron’s HairlineParticipantNone of the top 4 prospects will work out for them, maybe because they have a promise and they’re not going to fall past 4

surveParticipantI am not sure its necessary for them to work out anyone before 5. They worked out Drummond and Lillard and they likely will pick one of them, but, if Drummond goes between 2-4, then the player that slips out (Barnes, Robinson, Beal, or MKG) then the Kings will draft them. You dont need to work them out to know they are the 4 best available players before Drummond or Lillard, so I wouldnt make too much to do about them working them out. They dont need to work out Barnes or MKG, they know what they can do.

lalailaParticipanti feel it could be a sign that they will trade that pick

sosgegsg nrgParticipantAll I know is I’ve been keeping track of workouts for the past week and I’ve read that MKG and Beal have worked out for Sacramento(just wish I had the link to prove it).

David Stern a.k.a. da muthaf@cking leader of da kryptsParticipantDoes anyone why don’t the palyers want to get drafted by the Kings? Is it because they might relocate soon or some other reason?

SportsNinjaParticipantI read MKG, Barnes and TRob all cancelled. Beal was never scheduled. I think they want to trade the pick, if they can’t they will take whomever falls to them among those 3.
They can’t force guys to work out for them, but this shows the larger problem they have. How do you build a team when no FA wants to sign with you and no rookie wants to be drafted by you? At least if you are in a major market players will still want to go and turn the franchise around. I have yet to hear anybody say, "I want to make the Kings good again!"
Maloofs need to sell, they are horrible for the league and the city.

MoneyTeam6ParticipantFor some reason their agents don’t want the kings to draft them but Drummond and Cousins could be a dominate frontcourt duo for many years to come

kobyzParticipantthey doesn’t have for what, they laid back, there will not gonna be a selection in their hands. they will just take who is gonna fall for them between Barnes and MKG.

ChrisCrossParticipantdoesn’t mean that couldn’t draft MKG/T-Rob/Barnes if they’re there.

KayjayParticipantTheir agents are actively getting them to not work out for sacramento. Can you blame them? I’m a Kings fan and If I could I’d avoid being caught in a Maloof vs. Stern conflict, an unproven coach, and a GM who’s best years are behind him.

220ParticipantWho knows maybe the word is Sacramento is trading the pick. As of right now it’s pretty likely they take whoever is left from Thomas Robinson, Harrison Barnes, Bradley Beal, and Michael Kidd Gilchrist. Unless a player pulls a Paul Pierce and says he refuses to play for a certain team it shouldn’t be a big deal.

DeShawns PotentialParticipantThe Maloofs are broke. I cant find the link, but I read the other day that, it is actually cheaper for them to move to Anaheim than to put up 200 million of their own money to build a new arena in Sacramento. They’re something like 50 million in debt to the NBA right now and their family is bleeding money. Can’t really blame any top prospect for not wanting to come into that.

surveParticipant"The Maloofs are broke."
maybe there is more to it then as far as players not working out with them. I didnt know that. One thing I am almost positive of and will have it in my mock….neither Beal or Barnes gets past Cleveland. I just dont see it. I think Barnes goes 2 or 4, if he goes 2 then Beal goes 4. That really leaves T-Rob, but I think he may have a good chance to land in Washington. I am pretty sure MKG doesnt care where he goes personally, he is just a pure basketball player…now as far as his agent, different story. This is crazy….it does look like this pick may be on the move….even if they get Beal or Barnes, they still may look to trade down.

fcb206ParticipantScrew anaheim, bring that nomad kings franchise to Seattle. We will slap that green and yellow "skyline inside the basketball" logo on em and get siked to watch Isaiah Thomas.

usfballerParticipantThe Kings have been one of the worst player development franchises out there. Tyreke Evans actually looks like he has gotten worse since his rookie year. Jason Thompson was a nice looking 4man project until they decided to turn him into a three, before 180-ong AGAIN and moving him back to the 4 this year. Their most recent lottery pick lost most (if not all) of his minutes to the guy they picked at 60. A second year center who has proven little more than nothing, got a coach fired mid season.
Needless to say, this kind of instability would be tough on any young player and no agent wants their guy to get stuck in a situation where they have no idea what might happen from one day to the next.
