coolkids123Participant5 picks is wayyyyyy too much for Kevin Pritchard.
Blazers turned down a ton of trade offers at the Deadline involving draft picks.
They have a need at PG.
They love trading on draft day, Especially last year, when they had a ton of picks in their hands, and they traded up for Jeryd Bayless.
I don’t think they have much faith in Bayless. He was non-existant the first half of the year, went on a tear when Steve Blake was out, and was back on the bench.
There were a lot of trade offers involving Bayless the Blazers proposed (e.g. trade for VC, countered a trade for Richard Jefferson)
Maybe Bayless plus 24th pick to Charlotte for a first-rounder and 54th pick. (then draft Jonny Flynn)
I’m no trade expert, but I’m a Blazers fan, any trade possibillities you see?

NYKnicksuperFanParticipantBut i think with the young core they got they would rather trade for a veteran like rafer alston or kirk heinrich, both have the talent to be starters but are backups on their current teams(alston will be when jameer Nelson gets back) or portland could add someone like andre miller in free agency

coolkids123ParticipantI could definitely see them adding a veteran PG, which I though was their problem last year. The Blazers are one of the best teams in the NBA, talent wise. But they really don’t have any veteran leadership, besides Roy, who, technically, isn’t even a veteran. A guy like Andre Miller might be able to use the talent to good use.
1. A. Miller
2. Bayless
3. Rodriguez
(barring they get rid of Steve Blake)Not a bad group of PGs. I, personally, don’t wanna see them get rid of Bayless, but I think it’s immenent.

Untouchable JParticipantThey are NOT getting rid of Bayless. They need to be patient w/ him b/c he looks a lot like a young Arenas
They have holes at PG and SF and need veterans at both spots. If I’m them I give my entire draft for a vet/all star (VINCE cARTER WOULD BE PERFECT). They have more young talent (Bayless, Fernandez, Batum, Priz, Oden, Frye, Webster, Outlaw) than they can play already.
They need to shorten their rotation to become better

coolkids123ParticipantBayless, Batum, LaFrentz and a pick for VC and a pick. Correct me if I’m wrong cause I’m honestly not sure.

Brad999Participanti honestley dont think at this point u can trade bayless why did we even draft him if ur not even going to be him a spot in the rotation? he can shot drive draw contact and finish he has that burst of explosiveness a point guard needs he just needs to play some mins without worrying about losing his spot for a few mistakes ,that said i do think we need to draft another pt guard lets be honest most of us would love rubio is gonna happen ,not sure sergio wants to be traded and it seems new york would be a good fit 3 way trade with memphis for the number 2 pick to portalnd memphis wanted outlaw trade bayless outlaw to memphis ,segio blake to knicks and two picks wat do u guys think?

coolkids123ParticipantExactly. Why would we draft a guy we didn’t even put into the rotation. Im not saying they guy has to play 82 games, but give him some PT so he can at least develop. As for the trade scenario, I really think the Grizz are gonna trade, and the Blazers have the picks and players to pull it off.
