BasketBalAllanParticipantThe Kings are meeting today with Iggy, their new GM spent the last season in Denver admiring his play and thinks that what he could bring to the Kings would be of great value. With them Kings current salaries, Tyreke’s $10.5 mil cap hold and Bmac’s rookie salary the Kings would have about $53.5 mil on the book at the moment, the salary cap is not likely to go up much this year (reports are it may just go to $58.5 mil from $58 last year) this gives the Kings about $5 million in cap space. Where things get interesting is if the Kings simply used their amnesty clause on Salmons contract of $7.5 mil, this would give them about $12.5 mil in cap space and they would be able to offer Iggy a contract that would average about $14 million over 4 years.
If Iggy decided (for some reason or another) to come to Sac it would give the Kings a depth chart of:
PG: Tyreke, Thomas, Jimmer, Ray
SG: Bmac, Thornton
SF: Iggy, Outlaw
PF: Patterson, Thompson, Hayes
C: CousinsThis could give the Kings flexibility to decide on whether to match an Evans offer or to sign and trade him for someone like Greivis Vasquez, and to try and package people like Thornton, Hayes, Outlaw, Jimmer, to try and grab a backup forward or post player.

Sewok15ParticipantTyreke is going to get a big offer from NO so i doubt he will be in Sacramento.

BasketBalAllanParticipantThe Kings have stated they are interested in seeing how Tyreke and BMac will work together because the new regime feels that keeping and adding talent is number one on the list of things to do. This tells me that they are likely to match almost any offer he receives.
Also, what cap space does N.O. have to offer, they are at about $51 million in salaries at the moment with only 8 players?

CavsFan07ParticipantOffensively it looks talented, but not sure there’d be enough basketballs to go around with that group.
Not to mention that’s not a very good defensive team whatsoever.
