rickyfutureagentParticipantAny chance the Wolves would trade away their 1st Pick in the draft for any of these packages?
Lakers: 2nd Pick, Randle for 1st Pick, 2018 1st Round Pick
76ers: 3rd Pick, 2016 1st Round Pick (LAL) for 1st Pick
Nuggets: 7th Pick, Lawson, Faried for 1st Pick, Lavine
Sac: Cousins for 1st Pick, Rubio, Dieng
If not, comment with a package you think the Wolves would trade down for.

WinterSoldierParticipantHow did Lawson and Faried become so worth so much? Their both ok players but niether is top 10 for their position. They are both undersized for their positions also. Lawson is on the downside of his career and Faried seems to have peaked into a very average player. I certainly wouldn’t give up a lottery pick for either one.

pappmb93Participantif the wolves really like Okafor just as much as Towns or even more, as some reports suggested than trading down to 2 with LA is a win no matter what they get, if they get the Lakers’ late first only, it’s still a win because they still take the player they want and pick up and extra pick in the process

kobyzParticipantNo, just look at their lottery winning moment celebration, they think Townes is the next Tim Duncan…

Bed HeadParticipantThe 76ers have basically zero incentive to make that trade. So that would be a no.
And were I a Wolves’ fan, and we did that deal with Denver, I would literally vomit in my mouth.
However, the two California offers are much more reasonable, imo. Those would be (at least) worthy of some consideration/discussion.

Dazzling Dunks and Basketball BloopersParticipantLakers give up 2nd pick AND randle to move up to number one so wolves can draft the player they really want (okafor) anyway? I don’t think so.

sitlbitoParticipantHope the Wolves don’t outsmart themselves. Just take Towns and over and out.

Memphis MadnessParticipantIf I am a T Wolves fan I would trade the 1st pick and Ricky Rubio to the Lakers for the 2nd pick, the 27th pick, Julius Randle, Jordan Clarkson, and cash.

pappmb93ParticipantThis is horrible… you really think the lakers would give up their future to move up one pick and get Rubio? Rubio is a good but not great player offensively with a history of injuries, dont get me wrong I really like him but his way too little to make this trade fair, Clarkson and Randle are LA’s only hopefuls going forward they will not give them up unless the wolves go into supercrazyretarded mode and throw in wiggins instead of Rubio but that would be the worst trade EVER and they would become the nba’s laughing stock

BiggysmallsParticipantI like the first two deals there with LA and Philly but wow that Denver deal isn’t good and the Sac Town deal is really bad. Cousins on a new deal, sure, but he would realistically be in Minny for 2 more years. I’ll take 8 years of Towns

goddagParticipantto people calling about a deal. You never know when someone is going to offer you something you don’t expect. I highly doubt they will trade the number 1 pick but I could see them dealing the guy over in Europe or any of the two 2nd round picks. Or maybe Budinger or Bennett.
If we wouldn’t have taken a poll on what the Wolves got in the Love trade how many people would have thought they would have gotten what they did.
There’s always going to be a GM or executive that thinks he’s smarter than you. It happens all the time.0 - Posted on: Tue, 06/09/2015 - 10:02am #987604

Memphis MadnessParticipantAll three trades are pretty good.
Come on, guys. lol
The T Wolves have to ask themselves TWO questions:
1. Who is the best PLAYER in the draft?
2. Who fits best next to Andrew Wiggins?
If the answer to both questions is the same guy, and will be the hands down number one pick then keep the pick.
Otherwise, ask the same two questions again then trade down accordingly.
