JNixonParticipantWizards:
John Wall is impressive. Dropped dimes today, fed the open shooters, and did an outstanding job as always in drive and dish. His athleticism and speed is disgusting. However, struggled to score efficiently when Dominique Jones guarded him and forced him into some tough shots. He chipped in on the glass, and play good D on and off the ball. He was great again today, would’ve been better had he scored better.
Cartier Martin had a monster game. Shot the ball well finally, and made some plays slashing to the rim. His size, strength and shooting ability makes him a small mismatch at this level. He’s not quite athletic or quick enough laterally to defend that well though. Keep it up Cartier!
JaVale McGee looks good too, and continues to show he has a very underrated and nice skill-set in the low or high post. Shows a good amount of moves, and his touch is fantastic. Athletic monster, with the frame to be as gifted physically as any big not named Dwight Howard or Andrew Bynum. Shot-blocking presence (Did anyone see that block he had where he caught it out of mid-air??!). Wizards C of the future, and he could be scary with time.
Trevor Booker has some Jason Maxiell in him, but he has a tendency to disappear in games. This game was one case.
Hamady N’Diaye is a shot-blocker, but his footwork is poor and he needs to time his jumps better. No offensive game.
Dallas:
Roddy Beaubois was ineffective today. We all know he’s athletic and a great scorer as a combo guard, but he’s not a PG at all right now. Always been a very shaky defender, which sucks because he has the athletic and physical tools to be as good on D as Rajon Rondo is. They had to take him off on John Wall. He’s not ready to be a starting PG yet, not a true playmaker right now.
Dominique Jones is nice. Super strong finisher around the rim and he’s showing a nice mid-range game. Saw time at PG a little, but only so he could look for his own shots. Very tough defender who played phenomenal D on John Wall. He looks like a Rodney Stuckey clone. Should see some nice immediate minutes.
Omar Samhan has some potential. He’s very limited by his lack of athleticism and quickness, but he can face up and has a good low-post game. His defense is bad, but he could be a 3rd C at least. Good rebounder.
Jeremy Lin looked EXTREMELY impressive. Made shots, made some great passes, played both guard spots well, played good D, showed a decent shooting stroke, and was aggressive. He also was a fan favorite haha. I’m a fan too…..GET HIM ON THE TEAM!

MagikKnickParticipantJaVale McGee is very impressive, did anyone see that alley alley-oop? It looked like a regular lob pass, but McGee and his endless arms managed to dunk it…
Wall cut down on the turnovers, got 8 each of the last 2 SL games, only had 3 today, still needs better control, but hes already showing improvement.
Oh, and I told yall Dominique Jones was the truth….
Speaking of Lin, think he has a legit spot on the bench of an NBA team this season? or is he best suited for Europe?

JNixonParticipantI think Lin can play in the NBA, he should take J.J. Barea’s spot if the Mavs are smart. Barea was fun to watch at 1st, but he kinda sucks to me now….

WizardofOzParticipantJohn Wall had a horrendous shooting night, but really impressed me with is passing skill and his ability to get to the free-throw line. Nobody could stay in front of him on D.
Javale McGee has really impressed me also. He’s an athletic freak and is a good rebounder. He is also a great shot-blocker.
Cartier Martin has a sweet stroke and has a good shot to make the team because the Wizards still don’ have enough players on their roster. He could provide a good scoring punch off the bench.
Trevor Booker really disappeared in this game. I didn’t even know he was in the game a lot of times. He also shot poorly today.
I like Dominique Jones. He’s an aggressive scorer and played good D.
I like Omar Samhan too. He has a wide variety of post moves and is a good mid-range shooter.

gregoden08ParticipantIs looking real good. I am very impressed. Also, not to be nitpicky or anything, but I’d add Oden to your Bynum/Howard list. He is a bull.

khaled_a_dParticipantI didn’t watch the game,but as a Mavs fan I like what I hear
and @JNixon-Iggy9,actually most Mavs fan agree with you and want to trade Barea and sign Lin
likeOmar Samhan,I think we wanted him on the team at first, but with 4 Cs on the roster now the only way for that is signing him for our D-League team ,but I think he will get an offer from NBA teamlike what Jones, hope he will make impact next year
