rwd5035ParticipantI like Webster but every year there seems to be a guy or two who can be picked up as a solid wing player who provides adequate defense and some good shooting. Even three years is too much imo but can understand why they’d want to sign him.

Anton123ParticipantI thought Webster was actually pretty good last year – he was good defensively and an efficient shooter offensively.
He’s only 26 years old, so I don’t think he’ll be a nuicance in 3 years, if he can stay motivated and play hard – he’ll bea valuable piece for the Wizards.

LipstickParticipantWelp, that makes Chase Budinger a little more expensive to keep in Minnesota.

NCarmean18ParticipantThe Wizards are trying to solidify a solid roster, but they overpaid for Webster. Giving him a multiyear contract wasn’t a bad idea considering his youth and improvement last season, but I think they could have found a little bit better value elsewhere with the money that they will owe him.

JordoParticipantIf he’s healthy and continues to shoot lightouts from 3, i don’t see why this is a bad deal. He gives Wall another shooter, plays his role, good locker room guy etc. His best stretch last year was after Walls return. 15 PPG, 44FG%, 39 3%,4RPG, 2APG in March. He also shot 56% from 3 in Feb.

he_gets_bucketsParticipantMartell can shoot from deep and is a solid defender. He can be brought in off the bench to hit some shots and defend his man. Otto hasnt played a game yet so we dont know how good he will be, and Martell may start while Otto finds his way.

jaysmith1987ParticipantI think he was a good signing but not for the price. They should have been able to keep him for 12million. He plays good with john wall and you never ha e enough shooting. The amount they gave him might be a way to get future free agents I interested in Washington. If they’ll pay Webster 22 million then players have to consider them.
