have a very bright future.  Wall and Beal are in the backcourt for the next 10 years are are getting better every day.  Wall is a perennial all-star and Beal should turn into a great shooter.  They picked up Gortat and Andre Miller provides veteran leadership.  Ariza has been playing well and Martell Webster has been hitting threes.  Knuckleheads Andray Blatche and Javale Mcgee are gone as well as mistake Jan Vessly who was absolutely awful.  Wizards took a 2-0 lead over the Bulls last night after rallying in the third quarter.  Randy Wittman has done a great job and the Wiz are really flourishing now.  Wizards fans have something to look forward to after not making the playoffs since 2008 and the whole Gilbert Arenas debacle.  Look for the Wizards to be in the playoffs for many years to come and perhaps compete for the East in the not too distant future…

if otto porter can develop, he’s going to be a nice glue guy for the team as well.  re-signing gortat is a must and keeping nene healthy too.  ariza probably played himself into a last decent, mid to long term contract but i doubt it’ll be with washington.  too bad they don’t have a pick this year.  they could of added some more young pieces.

and it comes…  I think they’re playing against a team without a real superstar that can get crucial buckets and still have to go into OT in order to win…  Doesn’t scream "GREAT TEAM" to me.  Nene showed in Denver why he can’t be depended on and Wittman is considered by many in DC (basketball fans) as a dope…  They hate that guy…

Ariza and Gortat contracts are up after this season and seem like they will leave given how well they do in the playoffs.  I do agree with the Wall and Beal situation though, wish Kyrie and Waiters took a page out their book of sharing the ball…

But they were a .500 team in a terrible Eastern Conference.  Playing against a team on paper that should be a lottery team… Let’s wait until the second round before we make declarations because your whole tune might change if they get swept or something…  Need to see more, but Wall and Beal look promising, I agree…

As a Bulls fan, I have been impressed.  But, as another poster said the Bulls team they are playing is a great matchup for the Wizards as they are an over achieving, effort type of team that relies on jump shooters and a undersized PG who was cut by two teams in the last year for scoring.  But Wall and Beal are the type of foundation that most teams in the league should look towards as a blue print for success. To succeed deep into the playoffs you need guys who can score at will and those two guys seem legit.  The Bulls look tired, which is what happens when you are undermanned and over achieve throughout the year. Their best players have reached up insane regular season minutes and their shooters are missing their shots.  For all the Bulls fans that think Melo works be a bad fit, think of the Bulls right now with Rose (even back to his old self) and see that weighs probably still be not enough now that Deng is gone.  Maybe Mirotic would be the answer (if he’s the real deal, he might be enough to get past an inexperienced Wizards team with Rose), but maybe I’m selfish but I want MORE.  I want MORE in an elite sense as well.  Man, I hope Larry Coon is right and the cap increases by $5 million because then we might have an exciting off season for once.  More saying this series is over, but even if they come back and win they are dangerously out gunned and look very tired.

What I saw was John Wall frustrated with Gortat’s effort. Honestly was Gortat trying to shave points? He wouldn’t go after the ball and his misses were ugly. I thought Beal carried them. John Wall and Gortat’s body language rubs me the wrong way. I am definitely not confident in my team if I’m a Wizards fan.

What I like about them is how well Wall and Beal are as a duo. No egos, no me ball, just a 2 great players who play off each other really well. It sucks that they will likely lose Ariza who has quietly had a career year being a 3 and D guy for them. Nene has a huge impact on this team when he is healthy even though his health has been in question since they traded for him. The Wizards are going to need to get younger at PF-C positions. Because the worst case scenario they lose Gortat in FA and Nene has another injury riddle season. But with Wall-Beal as the foundation if the Wizards ever find a way land a star big man, this Washington team could become very, very good.

That alone is what will elevate Wall from the pack, as long as this team keeps winnning and has multiple post season appearances.

I thought that Gilbert Arenas contract was going to keep that team in the basement for at least 6-8 years. It had the makings of an absolute franchise-killer. But they have managed to somehow turn it around.

I give them credit for just making the playoffs.
