Maybe its just me but the Wizards are blowing my mind.. All I read about the Wizards, mainly on here, is that they love Nick Young.. When they trade Caron, I was like well maybe Young will get to play more now, but they got Howard back… Then they trade Jamison, Im cool with that because they are starting over, but they trade for another guy that is probably going to take minutes from Young at the 3… Are yall just way off on what they think about Nick Young or are they just retarded??

    I mean look at this:

    Nick Young – SG/SF

    Now, Starters at his positions..

    Randy Foye – PG/SG
    Mike Miller – SG/SF
    Josh Howard – SF/SG

    Bench Players at his positions

    Al Thornton – SF/PF
    Quinton Ross – SF/SG
    James Singlton – SF/PF
And before Trouble, Javaris Crittenton, SG/PG

Where is the time for Young??

in my opinion, if they thought nick young was talented he would be playing. He has been in the league a few years now, and I think if he were going to get extended minutes, it would have happened already

Good call man… I am on the same page with you. Some of these guys act like they have some kind of insight, and they might, IDK but thats why I am asking.. I am not that impressed with him.. Some guys have said that he is capable of being a number one scoring option…

young isn’t a #1 for a winner… but I think the Wizards are looking to dump this season and try to be a major contender for the big free agents this summer. They would be a good landing spot for them, as they will have a top pick, Arenas or at least whatever they get for him, and a young group of role players that can be good with the right centerpiece

Where is the confusion part at? its obvious that Nick Young is in a fight for his job with Josh Howard, Mike Miller, and Al Thornton. Its simple its time for Nick Young to step up and show that he has a legit NBA game, that can average at least 12ppg…Right now he is averaging 7.7ppg the most of his career is 10.9. Thats not good enough for a 6’6 player with his tallent. Wizards are going younger, this will keep Gilbert out of trouble and put him in the role as more of a leader then just the “SHOOTER”. Jamison, Butler, Stevenson all gone…If Nick Young cant at least give the Wizards 10ppg for the rest of the season, then we will add Nick Young to the list. McGee and Blatche will show that they can be very good players.

Blatche is 7’0 and is athletic. He is just too soft right now to have so much size. If he can get a small post game, and rebound alot more he will make the Wizards a much better team.

McGee is another 7’0 very athletic but he is out of control sometimes. IF he can control himself and fit into a NBA tempo, but continue to play very good defense he will help himself out alot. More minutes for these two along with a now 7’3 Big Z…..the Wizards are a team to look at for the future….I belive they will get some key wins at the end of this season that will hurt some teams who are trying to make a playoffs run.

just to add in, josh howard was brought in because he is an expiring contract. They are trying to clear space, not find guys to build around

now they just have to try and get rid of arenas. I read that it is impossible to even try and void his contract unless he does jail time. Even then it will be almost impossible. And finding a taker for his 80 mill and 4 years is gonna be tough.

jordan only wanted to go to washington because he was the GM. I can promise he wouldn’t have gone there if he was just a free agent. But with that said, free agents like money. They may not want to go to washington, but money talks.

the players association represents the players and they would obviously fight anything that cost the player money. It’s like a defense lawyer protecting a criminal, they will stick up for the player no matter what. So it’s not something that has to be approved, but if the league voided the contract, the players association could take the whole thing to court and fight it.

Also, because hte league already suspneded arenas for the season, he can not be punished twice, so the wizards officially are not even able to do anything as of now. That is unless he goes to jail That changes things within the contract and then the team would have a leg to stand on in trying to get his contract voided.

Even without voiding Arenas, they’ll still have a truckload of cash to throw around via free-agency this summer.
