I’m gonna go with McDaniels here as they could use a stretch big. A young point looks like a need, but Conley is still there (and hopefully he does better) and Mitchell and Ingles both can handle the ball. So I don’t see getting a new point guard that urgent.

Nico Mannion….I think he will blossom in the pros…
Jazz could go BPA..They another consistent scorer….they need depth up front and the backcourt…Nnaji,Pritchard, Maledon,Balmaro ,Bane, Ramsey or Tyler Bey could go here..

I’ll go with zeke Nnaji. Utah really needs a stretch big that can give them some more lineup flexibility. Someone that can play both next to gobert and replace him him in smaller lineups. I’m not saying that nnaji would necessarily be that type of player right now, but they could possibly develop him into that guy.

Originally went Tyler Bey but after thinking about it I just don’t see how teams can continue to pass on Jaden McDaniels upside here. Seems he has fixed his jumpshot and has a more consistent shooting form. Hes added 10-15 pounds of muscle in 3 months which is real strength for a skinny dude like him. 190-205 is a huge difference and shows his potential can be realized. Thats the only question with this dude, what are the odds he can realize his potential. To be honest he should be a lottery pick if anyone thinks the odds are good and Im getting on board with what Ive seen from him this summer.

Pretty unlikely that Nnaji, Carey and Oturu slip this far though. can see any of them fall to the 2nd round but not all of them. Somebody will want a Center and trade into this position for one of them.

Ok as a Jazz fan lets get some things straight. #1 Nico Mannion is not happening. The Jazz aren’t going Nnaji or Carey really anyone that can’t play defense. Defense is on their #1 on their priority list. Second they tend to value blue collar schools in the first round especially recently. I think there are only 4 candidates left that would fit the Jazz
    Xavier Tillman
    Theo Maledon
    Desmond Bane
    Jaden McDaniels

Im going Desmond Bane and he is really starting to trend up. If the Jazz took any of these 4 I’d be ok with it though Bane is a personal favorite. I think he has a lot of room to improve and he’s already I think at worst a rotation player. And people on this site are going to have a heart attack when Carey and Oturu fall into the 40’s and 50’s. I don’t even think teams like them that much. I haven’t seen any first round buzz for any of them except for this site who also overrates players every year. Tyler Bey could also be a guy they target but I don’t know about how reliable the shooting is and they are deep in the position he plays.

Oturu.. He wont slip past Toronto. He’s Nigerian. Masai is Nigerian. He loves to draft African players and to be honest it works because it allows him to mold and mentor them. Toronto needs a Center. Gasol shot 39% FG’s and 18% 3PT’s in the playoffs last year and is on an expiring contract. Ibaka is on an expiring contract and Toronto needs to resign Van Vleet. Probably wont be able to sign Van Vleet and Ibaka unless they both take paycuts or we trade Norm Powell and with Terrence Davis legal issues Norm isn’t going anywhere.

At the combine he shot 67.5 percent from three-point range (104 for 154) and had great athleticism drills for his position, lane agility drill(11.37 seconds), 3/4 court sprint (3.28 seconds), and max vertical (35.5 inches). Measured in a 6’10 240 with a 7’4 wingspan. For reference heres Adebayo’s combine results.

69.75, 242, 72.75 wingspan. Lane agility drill (11.94 seconds), 3/4 court sprint (3.24 seconds), max vertical (38.5 inches).

Toronto has scouted him thoroughly this past season as well. https://twitter.com/DWolfsonKSTP/status/1217471282175971328?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw%7Ctwcamp%5Etweetembed%7Ctwterm%5E1217471282175971328%7Ctwgr%5Eshare_3&ref_url=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.redditmedia.com%2Fmediaembed%2Fep9xpx%3Fresponsive%3Dtrueis_nightmode%3Dfalse

Let me ask a question. If Toronto does end up drafting Oturu what do you think about that fit and how do you see his career panning out?

I’d feel better about him in Toronto than almost anywhere else to be honest, but even then I still don’t see him anything better than a backup center. Out of Carey and Oturu, I think Oturu is the most likely one to go in the first round because it has been noted that teams like his personality, but even then I still don’t he’s going to be anything crazy. Could he be better than the 29th best player in this class sure, but I just don’t think it’s that likely and there are other guys I like more. I’m a lot more down on Oturu than most I will admit that.

I will say this though. Toronto could also move into the 2nd round trading away our 1st to a team like Philadelphia (34, 36, 49, 58), Sacramento (35, 43, 52) or New Orleans (39, 42) in order to try and draft some players to add to the team for depth.

I also think that they could possibly try to trade next years 1st round pick in order to move up in the draft just outside of the lottery if the right player is in that range and to be honest I think the guy they may target is Zeke Nnaji because he has absolutely killed the predraft process and appears to be the clearcut 3rd Center behind Wiseman and Okongwu.

But then again they might stay put as well, they didn’t trade down to pick Caboclo or Siakam despite those picks being reaches and they didn’t trade up to get Anunoby despite that being their target when he fell to them. Plus they seem to be able to plug in an undrafted player whenever they want, probably competing with Miami on that market.

Been 24 hours looks like McDaniels won at 3, Maledon 2, Carey 1, Mannion 1, Nnaji 1, Bane 1
