dbeal21ParticipantEvery year somebody starts a community mock draft thread on here so I thought I’d start one on here. Vote once per pick on who you think will be drafted at the spot and I’ll do updates daily ..
So with the 1st pick in the 2016 NBA draft the Philadelphia 76ers select…

Dazzling Dunks and Basketball BloopersParticipantThis is not easy. Ingram is a better fit with the roster they currently have in place and I still have legitimate questions over Simmons character. This is a team that badly needs perimeter shooting in the worst way and you are drafting a player that can’t shoot outside of five feet right now to presumably play SF.
However, Simmons is an incredible talent and I believe the purpose of this exercise is more to predict the player the team will most likely pick instead of the guy who I think makes the most sense to pick. Therefore, I think the sixers will find Simmons too enticing to pass up.

OhCanada-ParticipantThis is not a team its a group of players whos rights are owned as basketball players contractually to the Philadelphia 76ers. But not a team. Teams have building blocks with roles and responsibility. This group of players was a crap shoot.
Even if they were a team most NBA teams go best player available no matter what. Look at the Raptors last year. They had Lowry and Derozan yet still drafted Wright and Powell and it worked out well for them.

Butter13ParticipantFit doesn’t matter one bit for a 10 win team. In Philly’s case, you go with the best player available and make adjustments from there. As of now, the Sixers have nothing but a bunch of guys on a roster so no need to build around any of that.

BleedGreen808ParticipantI can’t seem the Sixers passing on Simmons. They can figure out the frontcourt logjam later.

SeBirschingParticipantI think Ingram is good, but have to go with Ben Simmons. He’s to good to pass on despite team fit.

JoacoddrParticipantIf the Sixers draft for fit they will go with Brandon Ingram but Ben Simmons talent is so hard to ignore.
I think they will draft Ben Simmons

I CALLED GAMEParticipantBen Simmons will end up as number one especially with him improving his jumper, even if he shows he can hit the midrange from 15 to 18 feet he’ll go number one

nill650Participantthey will probably take Simmons but they should definitely trade with Boston for the 3rd pick and draft Murray.
they also get from Boston the late first and rj hunter. instead upgrades in the backcourt with saric coming over and maybe they win 25 games next year.

Pacersfan22ParticipantThe Sixers will select Ben Simmons. Ingram might be a better fit but you can’t pass up a talent like Simmons. They will decide what to do with Okafor/Noel/Embiid for a current positional need.

CU.LIONSParticipantCan we just skip the 1st and 2nd picks, we all now Simmons and Ingram are going 1 and 2. Lets start at 3 (Boston) where the real fun begins.
I also think picking the top 10 correctly this year is going to be as hard as ever. Carry on gents!
