blazer_fan_foreverParticipantI recently read nbadraft.net’s player profile on William, and to be honest…I have a hard time believing that his potential is 9/10. I mean, he only averaged 11 ppg and 1 apg…I’m not saying that’s bad, but the comparisons to Ray Allen and Rip Hamilton are quite off. To me, he’s just a one dimensional scorer/shooter who isn’t nearly as athletic or quick as this site says he is…He also isn’t a good defender or a good passer at all…Back up 2 guard best case…Thoughts?

Michael.S.ParticipantI’ll say 1 thing………………. he is not top 5 pick , as they are projecting him to be.

QHaynes20Depends on what draft. Cook could have went in the top 10 in 2007,
I see him as a lottery to mid 1st in 2010 and lottery in 2011

leftyballer24Participanthe is gettin a lot of love from this site…he reminds me of rashad mccants with his skill set and size he can be good but they had buford as a #2 pick at one point though.

bigbusinessParticipantBuford is really good..he just was not able to show you with one the best players in the nation on the team therefore he deferred.

JNixonParticipantYea he is a longer version of Daequan Cook. Both are really just athletic shooters. I think he has good upside, but he needs to polish his game alot more, he’s not a good ball handler, defender, or passer just yet.

Aran SmithKeymasterFolks who have been around Ohio State this summer are raving about Buford in scrimmages with Oden, Conley, Turner etc.
How can someone be one dimensional if they’re both athletic and can shoot? isn’t that 2 dimensions?
And if someone has to be 2-dimensional, those are the ones you want. You can figure out the other stuff, handle, defense etc. watch out for Buford – sleeper…

blazer_fan_foreverParticipantHe isn’t really all that athletic…I see him as an average athlete in terms of the NBA.

QHaynes20To me, Paul George needs to play some big talents 1st before I think he will be successful in the NBA.
