Just kicking some ideas around and wishing for our mothers NBA to come back around again.  Big men played the paint and small men shot the 3 when necessary.  How about a 2 3 4 point shot behind the arc?  First make 2 points, second make 3 and third make 4 points.  All consecutive makes and any miss goes back to 2 points.  Any makes after 3 consecutive are 3 points.  Also, start calling more offensive fouls on 3pt attempts with any lean ins or leg kicks.  The game is just becoming a 3 point contest. Evening out the scoring values would help even out the game play.  Need to bring skill players and size back to relevance.   Even wilder idea would be any  half court shot in the last possession would  be 5 points.  Add a little drama to those 4 point leads end of game.                                                                                                                     Ok. Real point.  Suns trade knight or bledsoe, ty. chandler,  pj tucker, d bender  for al jefferson.  j. teague r stuckey and 2017 first rounder.  Pacers get immediate results with improved defense, rebounds, and leadership supporting Paul George.  Suns get better distributor in Teague.  Scorer down low in Jefferson and 6th man in Stuckey.  Swap of 4th pick Bender to pacers for suns 2017 hopes of trading up or winning in the draft lottery.   Note, a trade for jefferson can happen after december 14th.

    So the trade is this:

Tyson chandler,Dragan bender,Pj tucker and one of Bledsoe/Knight.

    for

Jeff teague,Al jefferson,Rodney stuckey and the Pacers 2017 pick?

Reasons neither sides do this deal.

Pacers take on to much salary so it can’t be done.

The only assets the suns get out of this trade could essentially the Pacers Pick(especially if the got it as only top 3 protected or unprotected) as Teague can walk next season. The rest really make no sense for the team.

The Pacers  clearly win this deal: Theyget a 4th pick that has lot of potential, the better pg at this point with bledsoe, Knight for Teague is almost just swapping pieces one for the other really.

However this is a trade I could see maybe working assuming this is the team you had to deal with

Phoenix give the Pacers: Eric bledsoe and P.J tucker

Pacers give Phoenix: Jeff Jeague and Rodney Stuckey + there 2017 pick-Top 3 protected then same again 2018 if not conveyed and then unprotected in 2019 or the usual 2 x 2nd rounders.

Salary wise it works and gives you 3 years of Bledsoe vs 1 year of Teague. However the only issue with this trade is you are banking on Eric bledsoe staying healthy and that the Pacers want to go all in.

I think your proposal is fair, but the way this season has started I would honestly rather make a trade around PG (through no fault of his own) and build with Turner along with future picks/young prospects.

I just see him getting frustrated and the likelihood of him walking for nothing is ever increasing as top players seemed more inclined to move than ever before.

Who would you trade PG to then? The only teams I see fitting that description of young players and picks:

        Philly or  Boston
These are the only teams that have mulitple picks and some young talent

But it all depends what you want to get for example:

Boston could give you: Jaylen brown,Avery bradley and the two Brooklyn Picks and maybe a future protected first.

        or

Philly:One of Noel or Okafor(which ever one that suits direction pacers wanted to go),All of their 2017 picks(Lakers and Sixers) and maybe a 2019 pick depending on how high both lakers and sixers pick are.

The only question is do the 76ers make this trade believing Ben simmons is your pg and PGis you Sf or Do you chase you future point in the draft?

What you just described doesn’t sound like your "mothers NBA" lol. In the same paragraph you talk about how you miss the old days and going back to a more traditional style of play and then advocate for a bunch of crazy rule changes like allowing 5 points for half court shots. I can’t tell if your serious or drunk or what.

As far as the trade you proposed, I think it’s highly unlikely that Phoenix would give up on bender so quickly. For Phoenix to trade him to Indiana, they would need to be getting paul George or Myles Turner back and that ain’t happening.

Just interested in a deterrent to jacking up 3s all game long.  its the new formula for success.  i think the warriors are just getting started in their dominance.  they drop 3s like free throws.   just put 6’4" to 7ft three point threats on your team and the rebounders, shot blockers and paint skills are not needed like they were in the past…… the trade mentioned had a salary diff of 5 million and goes through on nba trade machine based on salary.  (al jefferson unavailable til next month)   myles turner would be a nice coup but probably valued more by the pacers.  like your 2 for 2 + protected pick andy.
