He wants to come to MN because it will fit his personality better. And he will be brought along at a slower pace.
I know Flip did a great job bring KG along the first year, maybe that’s what Wiggins is talking about.
I just wish the trade was done and over with. And I’m sure all this players do also.

He is making the best out of a bad situation. I commend the kid for his maturity.

I think part of him wants to and part doesn’t. He gonna get the chance to show the world what he can do and not be 3rd option behind james and irving. Also going around on twitter you see where wiggins, lavine and robinson all challenging each other to dunks. I think these young guns will have fun together. Playing with james and irving will just stunt his potential. And don’t give me that james will be a "mentor" speech.

The weather will remind him of being back home in Canada. As will the lack of basketball talent around him…

How so? It’s cold and traditionally Canada isn’t loaded with ballers. I know lately they have been churning out a lot more but this was after all a joke.

The kid just wants to be wanted. He should thrive in Minnesota being the centerpiece of that team. I’m rooting for him.

I can understand him feeling annoyed as he was chosen at the top of the draft and then thought he’d be playing alongside LBJ and Kyrie. The flipside is that he will probably be on a better or certainly as good a team as the Cavs would have been if they had not signed LBJ and he’s going to be in a decent market.

I could understand him have been really annoyed if say the top pick had been the Lakers or Boston for example and they had flipped him for a Franchise guy.

The 2014-2015 T Wolves might be the best bad team in NBA history.

The T Wolves are one of THE teams I want to see in person.  Almost as much as the Cavs and Bulls.  I would also like to see the Bucks with Jabari and Giannis.  Next on the list would be the Spurs, wondering if my Grizzlies have FINALLY figured them out.  And who knows how long Duncan and Manu have…

A T Wolves team with Rubio, Wiggins, Cory Brewer, Anthony Bennett and Dieng with LaVine and Pek off the bench will really screw up some teams’ road trips.

Pek will not be coming off the bench for this team, you don’t just bench a 6’1″, 290 lb mammoth who averaged 17 and 8.5 w/ a PER over 20…

He has the right mind-set…Hes going somewhere he will be the focal point of the team. He has the keys to the team and in the long-run, its better for him than being a role player, because we all know hes more than that.

I always said if i was a top pick, i would want to go somewhere i could showcase my talent. Wiggins is saying all the right things and seems like a really good kid. TWolves fans should be happy to have him as their center-piece.

Pek will surely start as he was 17.4ppg and 8.7rpg last season. If they could get Dieng major minutes too then the frontcourt looks very good. They might be able to flip Kevin Martin to a real contender in due course as his contract is very reasonable for a proven scorer. This would really open up playing time for LaVine.

I’ll be interested to see how Flip lines up his starting 5, personally I’d assume that Rubio and Pek are locks to start. Brewer started 81 games last year and Martin started every game he played  but Flip would surely want to get Wiggins into the line up sooner than later. I’d have no problem with Wiggins earning his dues from the bench at the start of the season. Bennett and Dieng will probably compete for the PF role but both will see good playing time.

I think that in due course unless this team really clicks they will look to move Martin as Wiggins will get a starting role sooner than later and it makes sense to keep the less expensive younger guy in Corey Brewer who gives them nice size at SF.

It was good to see Brewer have had a couple of solid seasons after a couple of quiter years and although he will likely never be the sort of NBA star he might have had the potential to be during his Gator title years. He has become a solid NBA player and earnt a decent contract with the T-Wolves.

Yeah, I think they should be able to flip Martin for first round pick from a contender. Like the Raptors, they could use a scorer off the bench, or the grizzlies coud use an off ball scorer to compliment their big men and conley and probably a few other teams it would make sense to give up a late first for him.

Wiggins is the type of athlete that will play great with Rubio. And Wiggins is right, the best way to get paid in the NBA is be given the green light to shoot. He could end up with 20 shots per game in Minnesota. And with some of them being lobs set up by Rubio, he should end up with nice percentages. Looks like a win for him and a nice path toward the contract that counts, years 4 through 7.

He will still be young starting his fourth season. And if he is dropping 20 points per game during his second and third season, he has a max contract locked in.

The only issue with Martin would be he has 3 full years on his contract so for a contender looking to boost their squad it would be quite a big commitment. His salary is reasonable but the T-Wolves might not be able to move him right away.

This would not be a major issue, Coach Saunders could play Martin quite a lot early on in the season as he knows he’s a safe option and this gives Wiggins time to settle into the roster and the playing schedule. This puts Martin into the shop window, runs down his contract a bit and Flip would know he can then perhaps get the best deal possible for Martin around deadline day and also Wiggins is ready to take on the bigger role and it frees up time for LaVine also.
