have him play if Wiggins himself wanted to play. I would not ask/force him to play if I were the T Wolves. It might have helped him playing in a few games and practice being an aggressive number 1 scoring option.
Butler got some good reps as the Bulls SL best player. He had to be aggressive offensively because the entire summer league team was looking at him to do that.

Oladipo did it last year with Orlando to get some reps with his new teammates, who were likely to receive playing time on very young roster. Nothing wrong with developing chemsitry in a semi-competetive environment with other players you’re expected to grow with..

nothing wrong with him sitting out…the reigning rookie of the year and face of the franchise..he doesnt have anything to prove…..but as a basketball fan,i would love to see a preview of possibly how he’ll do with those other t wolves youngsters next season……..they had 15,000 fans come in yesterday just for a ”’scrimmage”!!! lol….
there have been some cases when guys who are 2nd or 3rd yr players with guaranteed contracts..that go to summer league to work on certain parts of their game…..and there’s always a chance on getting injured….

The guy started and played the whole year for the Wolves.
Even if he wasn’t playing for Canada, he has very little to prove in summer league.
LaVine will be playing more SG this year, so some extra reps will be good for him.
They should be fun to watch!
