I just saw 2K17 kept his rating the same, causing Wiggins to announce on Twitter that he prefers playing Call of Duty haha

I find the 2K developers prescient sometimes in predicting player growth, or lack thereof

Wiggins was a 79 as a Rookie, 81 as a Sophomore and apparently is still an 81

Wiggins’ improvement from Rookie to Sophomore was a little underwhelming, does anyone think he stalls out or has a breakout year (by his standards likely means an All Star appearance or close to it)

Remember young Kevin Durant made the All Star team in his 3rd year and the Thunder made the playoffs for the first time of the rebuild, do the Wolves keep pace?

Don’t know how much moe efficient thibs will make him on offense, but he’ll definitely make him a defensive stopper in his system with Wiggins combination of size, length, and athleticism.

I think you’ll see Wiggins’ scoring clip go down a tad, but I feel his overall game will make a leap, especially his 3 point shot. My prediction is that Towns will be used for as a #1 scoring option, with Wiggins setting in for a 1 B or 2 slot. Wiggins still has a great knack for getting to the line, and is a capable scorer, but I feel his game will make strides across the board.

I enjoy predictions, so mine for Wiggins are as follows

    19.1 ppg 4.3 rpg 2.3 apg 1.3 spg .8 bpg with .465% FG .36% 3PT 80% FT

Post All-Star break he actually shot 41% from beyond the arc, so I feel that is probably going to be his most significant stride in terms of impact. The Wolves aren’t exactly filled with shooters, so I think any improvement from Wiggins in this department will make life easier for KAT down low, and help the team as a whole.

Wiggins is the 2nd option and obviously the guy that sets the tone on defense, I think Wiggins will get a lot of his points off turnovers in transition where he’s more comfortable.. He still is raw in the Half Court creating for himself and others.. Thibodaus offense is a bit methodical so it could help Wiggins as far as knowing where to find his looks.. once he becomes more confident in the half court he will become a real offensive threat.. He has all the tools just needs to be demonstrated more situational basketball in half court sets

I am not going to speculate his stats this year but I do think we will see a significant improvement with him going up against top notch competition and clearly holding his own while getting the victory. I compare this to Durants 3rd or 4th year when his talent finally started to translate into wins on the court. I remember the first game durant finally beat lebron. I remember thinking to myself bitterly; wow the Thunder have arrived.

Well, 2K updates ratings during the season. That means 81 is what they perceived from him at the end of the season. It’s only fair, he starts the season with the same rating unless he proves them wrong.

I think that Wiggins will put up fairly similar stats in 2016-17 to what he did last year but I fully agree that Thibs will improve his overall efficiency and certainly his defence. Wiggins will mature as a player and learn when to take the correct shots. He isn’t having to carry the team off his own back so there will be no need for him to play hero ball. The T-Wolves match ups will mean he gets his fair share of shots and he will benefit being on an evolving young team.

I think he makes another leap in his game. Plus Kobe leaves a spot open in the all star game. He will be even better playing with KAT this year. He should be an All star this year.

I think that spot will be filled by KAT before Wiggins. Wiggins is no doubt, going to be an all star, but I don’t think he makes a big enough leap this year for it. Next year, it could happen though

Surely Damian Lillard won’t be snubbed again.

Expecting big things from Wiggins this year, should put up Kawhi numbers with Thibs at the helm, hopefully enough to be an All-Star.

But honestly I think Lavine makes the biggest jump.

but I always felt like he has a ceiling b/c he just does not exhibit that hunger or that fire that Super Stars possess

I believe Wiggins is what he is & what he is – is pretty darn awesome…… But he’s not a KD……  He’s just never going to be a guy who takes over games

Pairing Wiggins w/ KAT & now Dunn is Perfect b/c KAT is a Clear #1 option & Dunn and KAT are clear leaders…… Wiggins is like a Scotty Pippen personality type – he’s a Killer when he’s in a wolf pack but not on his own

    I LUV Minnesota’s nucleus

I think Wiggins will show a lot of improvement in regards to his ball handling/creating for himself, footwork and his shooting…

I don’t know if he’ll be an All-Star since the West is so deep, but he’ll definitely be an All-Star caliber play. He’ll enter the conversation as one of the best two way wings in the league.

Wiggins will still be the Wolves #1 4th quarter option but it won’t be quite as difficult as it has been previously with the team maturing a season and the addition of Dunn.

They won 35% of their games last year. They COULD jump 15% more and actually make playoffs. I’d guess they’d win 45% or so, but it would be a very impressive turnaround if they made playoffs. Thanks stellar drafting.
