I’m not a Sixer fan per se. I’m not huge on Noel, I wasn’t sure they should’ve drafted Embiid, and Okafor was tough to argue with and is assuredly going to be very productive.

Saric, though, I’m just positive is going to be really good. Maybe I’m a sucker for big guys that see the floor and handle it well. Watching him on youtube (not the full story, I know), he just looks like the type of player that is going to transition nicely to the NBA. He might not be a franchise super star, but I see him as having the versatility and body of Detlef Schrempf with the vision of Arvydas Sabonis.

Come on, youtube? Eurobasket is happening right now, go watch some yourself some actual Saric!

I really like him, but not for the reasons you mentioned. He just seems like a guy who will always overachieve: he’s a really hard worker, he’s unselfish, he’s very tough ad he clearly works on his game all the time. There is almost no doubt in my mind he will be at the very least useful because of this.

Also he has improved his jumper and is now a good face-up power forward who always works hard on the boards. Obviously it’s his ball-handling and vision that make him an exciting prospect, but that’s not really what he does on the floor most of the time.

Saric can’t shoot (yet) and he’s not an athlete. None of what he does well will show up on YouTube. For tbat reason, he’s a big unknown for me. I’ve seen bunches of clips, but since I haven’t watched a game, I have to rely on scouts. It’s annoying.

Noel I’ve seen a bunch of times. Great pick. He might be the best defensive center in the league pretty soon and that makes him worthy of his draft position. He is a bad fit next to Okafor unless Noel develops a mid-range game. It seems unlikely considering he spent his first year rehabbing and working on his shot. No improvement when he had most of the year? That doesn’t bode well for his shooting prowess. He works hard, but I’m not sure how much improvement we’ll see shooting-wise.

I think, one year, when they finally get enough pieces they need, they’ll make some trades to make the roster work. Maybe in 2 or 3 years.

I hope they accidentally play well so they don’t get a top pick (not likely).

Gobert’s a lot more like Noel offensively than you want to admit.

the past 2 years Ive been hoping that he would develop into more of a 3, but watching him in this tournament I’m not sure he can defend any NBA 3s at this point. Plus he is really best suited in the Draymond Green- style of a role as a really versatile 4. I wish he was coming over this season, but I’m really excited to watch his transition

I completely agree on Saric fitting into that Green type of role. He has a very unique game in that he so versatile, but he may not have the defensive versatility to his game like Green.

Agreed. I’m not sure they would get as much use out of Saric as Golden State gets out of Green. Mainly because Green has Thompson and Curry to dish to at the three point line and their defenders have to stay on the perimeter, giving Green room to operate.

The Sixers have Stauskas who will probably shoot a lot better this year, but is no Splash Brothers. Point being, the surrounding team won’t make Saric’s life easier.

I have a feeling people think Saric is very undersized for the 4 , yeah he has a short wingspan , but he is actually a legit 6 10 guy, and he is getting stronger, still only 21 .

He really is a hard worker , and eventhough he isn’t a great defeneder he plays with a lot of effort and heart.
His passing skills are really unique for a guy his size and he is good in transition.

Good 3 inches on NBA (generously) 6′ 8” listed  Jerami Grant .

I’m Not a Sixers fan but the fact that they have been relentlessly attacked by the National Media truly fascinated me…. teams like Milwaukee, Sacramento & Minnesota have been "Rebuilding for a Decade & barely a word is mentioned but Phila hired Hinkie 26 months ago & this franchise is treated like a pariah…. The Sixers are Not reinventing the wheel here, they are attempting to stock pile high 1st round picks by leveraging Cap space & players already on the roster – it’s not rocket science but it does take really Big balls & a good punlic relations dept to keep the fans on board,,,

Saric – for example – os a FAR better player than Mirotic in Chicago who shoots a ridiculous 40% FG%, does Not block shots or rebound & can;t score against 1st team defenders…. Saric shot 50% FG% & at 6’10” looks like an excellent point 4, he can pass, shot, defend, rebound & block shots… I’m a dratnick & I remember several scouts writing that had Saric been American he would be a top 5 pick… Regardless he was drafted at #10 (I realize technically it was #12, but that’s only b/c Hinnie Brilliantly floated a we’re trading MCW rumor AT the draft to spook Orlando into returning the 2017 First round pick that former GM Doug Collins gave away in the ill fated Andrew Bynum Disaster er I mean trade). Saric was top 10 for a reason, he’s got big time up side… Saric was supposed to enter the 2013 Draft & back then Many people believed Hinkie was taking Saric at #11 instead of MCW…. It worked out when you consider that Hinkie turned MCW into a high Lottery pick & broken down, average PG Jrue Holiday into THREE Lottery picks….

Noel is a Stud – people either refuse to look at stats or are in denial but Noel is a WAY better player than Gobert… Noel’s stats were Identical to the Uni-brow’s rookie #’s & in the 25 games After MCW was traded Noel Averaged 13.9 points, 10.5 reb, 2.1 assists, 2.3 steals, 2.5 blocks & shot 50% – that is Duncan / Olijuan territory – people forget that his rookie year the Uni-brow could NOT shoot & by the end of tyhe year Noel was realizing that NO ONE can guard him, he’s got an amazing lefthanded dribble drive & he gets to the Rim whenever he feels like it – Noel is just scratching the surface & he is Already a Top 5 defender/ rim protector, he destroys the pick & roll, can guard ALL 5 positions & he is the quickest leaper in the NBA at UCKING 6’11” – there is a reason Boston offered SIX 1st round picks & FOUR prospects for Noel & the #3 pick – look for Noel to have a Monster year….

Okafor is a BEAST… He is as strong as a horse, he establishes position SO deep he Forces double & triple teams All game… He just an absolute stud w/ an insanely developed low post game – I’m Still utterly Shocked that Okafor fell into Phila’s lap, the Lakers were Crazy to pass on him…. Embiid – according to Kevin Durant’s surgeon will be 100% – Durant needed a non FDA approved bone material in his graft, Embiid’s bone looked great according to the surgeon, they were so pleased with the blood flow & healing that they harvested bone from Embiid’s hip, they did not need that non FDA approved material used in Durant’s surgery… The thought of Embiid, Okafor & Noel practicing Everyday is scary – I’d pay just to watch their practices… Embiid is a true Giant & I think Phila has a Super Star on their hands w/ him… I atched him in pre game warm ups at a Clippers game & he is an absolute Freak! & Embiid Towered over Both Blake & DeAndre Jordan in LOAFERS! & the man is WIDE – & watching how fluid & natural he is on the court was Mind boggling…

Think about that in just 26 months Phila has THREE potential Star 7 footers, a top 10 Lottery pick in 6’10” Saric, a #8 Lottery pick in Saric who will be a great fit in Phila b/c they have Rim protectors so they can leave him on the floor & they have FOUR 1st round picks in 2016’s NBA Draft & two of those four 1st rounders will be Lottery picks – I mean thi sis NUTS! Next October, the Sixer will have SEVEN top 10 Lotteyr picks Under 23/ years old & NINE 1st rounders under 23 years old – I don’t think it’s Ever been done… I would NOT trade any of those Studs, let them all play 30 minutes so they stay fresh & healthy & within a few years Phila will be the Beast of the East…. I’m def Jealous of what they did & the Phila fans deserve credit b/c there’s no way the Sixers can do this without the patience & support of the fans.. It’s a real credit to how knowledgable the Sixer fans must really be….

I’m sure I’ll get heat for this b/c that’s how thoroughly the public has been brain washed but if you actually look at their moves they were Very smart – look at the Stauskus trade – it’s an Amazing deal for the Sixers & the gave up Nothing… Fans should be angry with all these short sighted GM’s who trade any chance at long term success for short cuts that Never work – really they should start calling "short cuts’"  "Ucking yourself cuts" instead….

Are you sure you aren’t a Sixers fan? I haven’t heard anyone but Sixers fans talk so enthusiastically about what’s being built and I live near Philadelphia.

I really like Noel, he’s definitely better than people realize. In the highlights I’ve seen of Saric he looks really good. Okafor should be dominant for a rookie and I imagine his presence will cause more people having positive things to say about the 76ers future before the season is out.

While I’m sure Doug Collins was involved with the Bynum trade Tony DiLeo was the GM at the time.

You are right, it was Tony DiLeo who made that trade but I will defend him for it too. It was a ballsy trade that unfortunately didn’t work out but at the time but it inspired hope for the fan base. People forget Jason Richardson was also involved in that trade and he was a good player at the time. I love Iggy but we knew Iggy wasn’t going to be "the guy" we needed a superstar and DiLeo got one but  it was obvious Bynum didn’t care about basketball…

Saric is good but I don’t think he’s better than Mirotic. We’re talking about someone who dominated European competitions at a really young age… and he was the Rookie of the year IMO. So darn skilled from everywhere in the floor. Saric might have more potential due to his motor, but Mirotic is better at the moment.

I’m a huge Saric fan btw. Can’t wait to see him in the NBA.

I believe in the Sam Hinkie process and I think Noel is going to become a KG like Pf in a few years

Okafor is going to be a great scoring C and if Embiid can ever fully recover mentally (I trust Doctors paid as well as their star athlete clients) we will have a dominant front line

Add in the fact that we have an outside shot at drafting Ben Simmons and another G to help out Wroten and Stauskas in the backcourt

Speaking on Tony and Nik, I really feel good about them but I believe they should split time at SG in the future, a Scoring Pg with some range would be ideal, I just really like Wroten as a 6th man for some reason

Adding a prospect like Simmons and a scoring PG would be a slam dunk, and A true contender for the next decade if you can keep them together
