Why do people really think or believe that Ryan Harrow is better or is going to be better than Marquis Teague?

Agreed , people(UK fans) think he is going to be really good.  They only have 3 years of Cal to look back on and because UK has had excellent PG’s since he has been there , they just assume Cal is going to coach him up into something close to Marquis Teague or better. 

New Flash , Harrow is not a stud like those other guys.  He is a nice player at the college level , but you have to understand the fan base at UK.  They have a tendency because of the recent drought with Billy Clyde to jump the shark with every recruit they get when it comes to expectations.  Like I said above this is because Cal has had nothing other than stud PG’s.  Cal also has had to not deal with significant injuries to significant players either and eventually he will have a recruit that he will need to lean on heavily as a freshmen that will underperform or they will have to deal with injuries that will hurt their depth.  Since Cal recruits mostly high end top 10 recruits he is not afforded to be able to build but so much depth with his affinity for one or two and dones.  Other coaches have done what Cal has recently though not many and he is a great recruiter and a solid coach , but eventually UK will have a season where they don’t win 30+ games and they are bounced in the 1st or 2nd round of the tourney.  Yet until that happens UK fans expect Cal will deliver 30+ wins and an elite 8 every year at least.

Also I can’t believe this site is high enough on Harrow to have him above players like Lorenzo Brown , CJ Leslie , and Reggie Bullock in the 2013 draft.  Hell I can’t believe they have him as a 1st round pick.

Harrow wasn’t a Mickey D’s AA, he didn’t dominate at NCSU, he is a good,quick,athletic guard who can handle the ball, but seriously I don’t see the hype about him, I’m not taking anything away from him, if he goes to Kentucky kills and becomes a first round pick I will admit I was wrong.

But honestly why are some of you guys so high on Harrow? What has he done, besides enrolling at Kentucky, to warrant a first round selection, and all this hype?

I don’t get the hype either. He should do fine, nothing spectacular though. He’ll be the worst point guard coached by Callipari since before Derrick Rose.

Agreed, he isn’t even better than Darius Washington, who also was a Mickey D’s AA.

BBN is putting alot of hype and pressure on this guy, I hope he lives up to at least half of it.
