It all depends on scheme, and if either one ends up playing for D’Antoni. Lee’s more athletic on the break, Millsap would get mor Tackles For a Loss.

Quite similar, but I just think Paul Millsap is pure muscle and has the brighter future. Lee has impressed the heck out of me with his play the last couple years, and has been a double double machine, but I think this year his leading the league in that category was a product of the system. I think Millsap is a harder match-up, especially on defense, and when given his chance to shine, could turn into more of a player than Lee. We will see, they might both be 10 million dollar back-ups, lol (If Millsap gets matched by Utah and Lee gets traded to Portland). However, I think Millsap will get his time to shine, as I bet Boozer could be on the way out so I am hearing and if a team is willing to do that, I think they have major faith in Millsap, who played very well last year in Boozer’s absence. We will have to see where Lee goes, but I do not know how much better Lee can get, I think Paul Millsap has a higher ceiling that he will reach.

the prices are dropping and if D.Lee has to go for the mid level exception then Paul will have to take less too…which means that the Jazz could easily match the offer if the amount is smaller and he’ll be back in Utah backing up Boozer which I doubt Paul Millisap wants to do, but he’d be fine with. Big Baby seems to have the most potential on offense…I’ve seen him do some amazing post moves as well as step out and hit a jumper while Millisap is very similiar, but I don’t think he’s as good downlow. D. Lee to me seems like he had a good year due to the system not that he isn’t a good player, but with so many shots put up he should easily be able to get 4+ offensive rebounds.

I would take Milsap over Lee because i think he has a more polished offensive game. That being said from an offensive and defensive viewpoint and also knowing how skilled he was at LSU, I would give Big Baby the egde over both of them. Imagine how good he would be if he had the green light. He is the only one with a jumper that would make you think twice.

Lee’s numbers may be a little inflated due to D’Antoni’s system, but I’d still go w/ him. He’s not worth 10 million though! Millsap is a beast, but he’s just so undersized. I think he’s best as a role guy off of the bench, though he can produce as a starter when needed.

Lee’s jumper is very underrated. He worked hard on it and was able to knock down 18 footers with consistency last season. Neither are superb defenders. I would take Lee because he is taller and more athletic. He is also a good passer.

I havent seen a lot of Milsap so I cant really judge him too well. But from what I have seen he would probably be last on my list out of these 3 players.

I have seen David Lee & Glen Davis both play in person numerous times. They have different style games so it is kinda hard to compare. Just a personal preference really. Lee is super athletic with a smart head on his shoulders. Big Baby is just so light on his feet and is very crafty. I would probably pick Glen Davis just because he is younger and still has a lot of room for improvement. Plus Glen Davis is so tough physically.

Lee was not behind Howard in double-doubles this year in the regular season. He LED the league.

Haha I still cant forget big baby crying when Garnett came down on him. Lee over Davis. I cant see Davis as a full-time starter. Lee is the man. Could big baby have hit that tip in with 0.1 seconds on the clock? I dont think so.

I would take Millsap. Lee is good and both came close to making the all-star team last year.

Millsap just has that toughness, grit and iron. He has always been the underdog. He is a fun person to cheer for.

The 3 bring different sets of skills so their value will also depend on who is trying to get them. I think Lee is the best all around player with a forte on defense and rebounding. Millsapp is perhaps the best low post presence both scoring wise and brute strength on the inside. Davis on the other hand has the most diverse offensive game, featuring a balance of inside and outside.

In terms of fit, Lee would be best on an established team who has a low post scorer and enough offense. He will score of cuts and hustle plays similar to the Horace Grant/Dennis Rodman role on the Bulls title teams. Millsapp on the other hand would be a good fit for a team looking for low post scoring and rebounding. He is not as versatile as Lee, nor as good a defender, but is a better post presence and more of a banger. Davis on the other hand will fit well with a team having a strong inside defender and rebounder (where he is weak at) and whom he can complement with his scoring. Overall though I’d take Lee, then Millsapp, then Davis.
