aamir543ParticipantAfter 2 and a half months of hibernation, its showtime. I am slightly excited, but nervous too cause I know that there is a boatload of homework just wating for me. I don’t know my schedule, and I am afraid that I may not get a lunch, but hopefully everything will be fine, and I hope you guys have a great school year also.

Stojakovicfor3ParticipantFeelin the same way. First year of high school. I don’t even know where to go at all and somehow I have 6 classes. Oh well, I guess I’m gonna wing it.

I May Be WrongParticipantIMBB’s Declassified Guide to School Survival (used for college but may apply to high school)
#1 – Unless your bro is in the class, sit next to the hottest girl in class. Having someone sexy next to you can be a great way to stay awake and you’ll be firml erect for the rest of the day.
#2 – "Accidentally" sit in a women’s study class. The fountain of pu$$y will be abundant in this class. Get to know some chicks, pretend like you care, and start off the semester with some booty calls. Then drop the class in a week or two.
#3 – Don’t bring more than 2 notebooks on the first day. Keep your bag light and forreal, all you’ll get is sylllabis so you won’t even be taking notes most likely.
#4 – Gum. I prefer Orbitz but whatever you want works. Just make sure your breathe is fresh before you start macking on a honeydip. Gum will be essential throughout the semester
#5 – Dress down for the first week of school. Don’t wear your best clothes because people will assume that you will always wear outfits like that. If you bum it the first week, and then wear a dress shirt, people will notice and be all over your stick like your name is Harry Potter
#6 – Give the most ridiculous answers if a teacher asks a question. Even if you know the answer, don’t show off. Instead, pretend like you’re going to be just an average student. Then, later in the semester, you start answering and the teacher thinks you are really trying hard.
#7 – Bring an extra Axe with you. Trust me, the smell will fade if you have a long day ahead so spray yourself during the half way point of your day
#8 – Do NOT ask a girl if she has a Facebook. Of course they have one but that’s stalkerish. Find their name, AND GET THEIR NUMBER first. Then add her as a friend or wait for her to add you. You wanna be smooth, not deseperate.
#9 – Let people know your a memeber of NBAdraft.net. How do you think Aran gets booty when he’s on campus. Legen…wait for it…dary!
#10 – Walk with some swag. Don’t walk like you have a taquito up your butt. And don’t over do it either like your pants are about to fall off (SMH) …Instead, walk like you belong there and do an occasional head nod to people you know.

Scottoant93ParticipantI graduated high school 2 years ago, was supposed to go to college this year but my community college is racist and won’t let me in.heres what they told me i want people to comment to this
some background info about me, I was born in Italy but grew up in US all my life, and I have a dual citizenship in US/Italy
1. I have to pay out of state tution despite being legal and living in the state for 8 years
2. I will be accepted on the first day of class, which i can sign up for whatever is left after everyone else pcisk their classes
3. If by any chance I sign up for the last spot of a class, and their is an american who does late registration and wants to sign up for the same class, they will drop me from it and give it to him.
So it looks like school is done for me it looks like, im going to have to learn my career on the fly.
For high school, just relax its easy, have fun meet new people and just chill, 4 years will pass like nothing if you enjoy it, i somewhat wish i would have done it, but i went to a rich preppy school haha. Anyway good luck!

I May Be WrongParticipantDude, that is BS man! you gotta take some action or something. I think you might actually have a case against discrimination or something. How can any instituition deny someone education like that? And it sounds like you were looking forward to go getting higher education so I think you should look into it man and see if you have a possible case.
I know college isn’t cheap but if that community college isn’t letting you in, I would look into other schools. It’s not like your whole life has passed away. You still have time if you are eager to learn and I would suggest looking into some colleges bro. Best of luck to you though!

Scottoant93ParticipantYeah im looking to do something, The thing is i want to do it without putting my name and face in the media, and involving people i know, because its almost certain there will be backlash from ignorant people who have no idea whats going on. For now im searching other colleges but they either have don’t have my major(auto collision repair) or they are to far away and not worth the money going back and forth. I guess we’ll see what happens thanks for the support though!

aamir543ParticipantWow, just got back, and what a day. I started off with this frickin messed up schedule, where I come to school late(doesn’t really benifit me) and have lunch at like 2:30(No one else has the period off) and leave at 3:30.
And the counselers weren’t even listening to problems like mine, they were only listening to people that had like classes missing, and 2 of the same class(And the line was still 45 minutes long!) So I went into the counseling office through the back door, and it just so happened that my counseler was free. So I went in there, and the second I stepped into that room I felt like I was tresspassing. The guy was so cold, and didn’t even say hi. So I told him my problem, and doesn’t even respond. I ask him again and he tells me that there are no health classes during blocks 1 or 7. Then I ask if it is possible I can get a block 1 and a lunch. He acts like he is doing so much work, when he is barely even moving his fingers. So he tells me I can move classes, and doesn’t even tell me what to do after that. After I somehow solve that problem, I try to ask him If there is a way I can switch out Heath for College and Career during block 7. He tells me all hte classes are full, that there are 39-40 students in each class. I told him that mybe he can add me to the class with 39 kids, he responds by saying that it’s full. He BS several of my questions. When I asked whether there is a possibility that someone might drop a class, he said "anything is possible". So I told him that I will check in with him everyday to see if there is an opening, he responds by saying"you do that". He is lucky I didn’t have enough energy to tell him off.
And Scott, that is BS, try to show them evidence and answer every single one of their bs requirements dipplomatically, and they should definately let you enroll.

aamir543ParticipantOur english teacher wants us to read a book and do a report on it, and guess what was one of the ebooks that she reccomended, Sacred Hoops, a book about Phil Jackson. It’s probably boring, but at least it’s about ball. And I get extra credit for the book because it’s non fiction. aamir543Participant#10 – Walk with some swag. Don’t walk like you have a taquito up your butt. And don’t over do it either like your pants are about to fall off (SMH) …Instead, walk like you belong there and do an occasional head nod to people you know.
Would have been nice If you told me that a bit earlier.

aamir543Participant8 days in, I have established my rep in my classes. I am the smart guy in Advanced Algebra and Physics, the class clown in Health, and the tall lanky guy in PE.
And in English, we already had two in class essays on the summer reading books, to make sure we actually read, and another one today, where we had one days notice, Four seperate lengthy homework assignments, and a daily journal on our independent reading, whole page minnimum. And nextfriday we have a project due on another summer reading book, plus daily Homework, plus another project due three days after we finish our independent reading book. And to add to that, I am extremely tired and drained cause I am also fasting.

aamir543Participant8 days in, I have established my rep in my classes.

Thank you for the compliment Leroy, and by the way, how’s second grade. I know it seems hard at first, but when you sound out the letters, It makes it much easier to spell.

M-DYMESParticipantSacred Hoops is an good book IMO. Phil Jackson is a very interesting person. It discusses primarily his time with the Bulls and how team concepts and psychology in basketball apply themselves to life. It discusses his relationship with MJ and how he got the best out of him. Phil comes off as cocky and full of himself at times, but he is a pheonomenal basketball, physcological, and spiritual mind.

aamir543ParticipantI know, it is very interesting, and a good read. It really shows you how much work and time it took Phil to become the coach he is today.

Yes don’t worry, poor Patty must be dying for your text.
And to answer you question, the square root of "deez nutz #DextersLab" = 6- (7/5) – the square root of -34, plus the negative repicprical of 84. You’re welcome.
