     … besides Ingram and Simmons?

Brown reminds me a lot of D Wade. He has uncanny ability to slash thru defenders, it’s not just about athleticism. He does certain two steps, side steps that are superstar plays.

Archie reminded of Wade as well and he hasnt amounted too much yet, although hes been getting steadly better. On to the point, there are big differences between Archie and Jaylen, Jaylen draws more FTs and completes them better, has a higher 3pt%, stronger 6’7 vs 6’4, and finally better athleticism and legit VERT. Archie was a quick, speedy dunker, not nearly as explosive as Jaylen who will throw it down ‘forhead at rim level’.

Throws down burgers and fries with a large strawberry shake like nobody’s business. Possibly  better than Sonya "the black widow" Thomas, world champion hamburger eater. Archie can’t hold a candle to either.

I like Jaylen Brown. I’m hoping his defense gets better. I could see him as a more athletic Ron Artest.

Dejounte Murray is the most underrated player in the draft.  His floater will become legendary.  I believe he goes top five.(ahead of Brown)

He’s going to struggle mightily to begin with. His biggest strength is getting to the rack and he’ll have trouble finishing in the NBA with his dainty frame. Heck, he had trouble in college. Still, he’s got more potential than any other PG. I believe in drafting potential. He’s got the best first step in the draft and he’s shiftier getting to the rack than almost all the other draftees. I’d see a team drafting him and letting him develop slower like the Hawkes with Schroeder.

I’d take him 5th. He’ll probably go 5th-9th. The very top of this class is great. The rest… eh…

Theres certainly no one with a better mix of strength and athleticism than Jaylen Brown.

I feel like his skills arent where they should be though.

His slashing ability, as I said, is not just athleticism. It is a skill to be able to slash thru defenders the way Jaylen does. There are many athletes who can’t do that.

He has an immense slashing skill, to go along with his athleticism and physical profile.

Pretty much.  I think when people discuss player ceilings they completely ignore mentioning their intangibles.  From what I’ve seen from all my years of evaluating prospects, the likelihood of a player reaching or coming close to his potential is tied to his intangibles.  People who recognize that only think of it in terms of bigs, but it applies to wings and guards too.  Jaylen has just about every physical tool you would look for in a wing, but his feel for the game is atrocious, so I agree, that ultimately lowers his ceiling.  Sure he can improve his IQ, but again from what I’ve seen, that aspect can only marginally improve.  People think and process things on their feet the way that they do.  Some people process things on their feet and make good, quick decisions better than others. Jaylen has never struck me as a player who has "it" mentally.

The reason why I think is a terrible comparison is because Shabazz operates different. While Jaylen does play strong in the post, and is able to get his shot off between defenses from under the rim (which reminds me of Wade in that regard), Jaylen doesn’t post up nearly as much as Shabazz and relies more on attacking from the perimeter and using the ‘euro step’. Shabazz was/is just a complete different finisher at the rim.

Jaylen is a one man fast break
