Its so hard to say, they both can score at will, they both can take over a game at any time. Is harden a better ball handler, but can curry see the floor better? Do Hardens ability to get the basket and play above the rim give him an edge. Yes curry has his team in 1st place harden has his in 3rd. Does curry have a better supporting case than Harden? Maybe this will come down to a likability contest? I hope not. Who know The “King” himself is 3 games out of second 11 away from first but lets see if that gap get smaller and smaller and see if that swing comes into play its just a thought. But who do you guy have?

Right now, I have James Harden just a little bit better than Stephen Curry, but it’s close.  Let’s face it, they are both superstars with Most Valuable Player credentials this season.

Scoring: Both guys can score from all over the court.  While Curry is obviously the better shooter, I think Harden is just a little bit of a better scorer than Curry.  He also gets to the free throw line a ton, in which he is money from the charity stripe.  Curry and Harden are both dynamite offensive players, but as far as versatility as a scorer, I give the nod to Harden.

Rebounding: These two players are both very good rebounders for their size.  For guards, they are among the leagues best at their respective positions, but I still have to give the edge to James Harden.  He is just a little scrappier whenever it comes to rebounding the basketball, and again, he barely beats out Curry.

Passing: This is where Curry takes his first category.  Although Curry is surrounded by tremendous talent, he still finds the time to dish out a good number of assists.  He is an elite playmaker in my opinion, and whenever he is getting his teammates involes, Golden State is lethal.  I think that James Harden looks for his offense a lot more than Steph Curry does, therefore leaving him vulnerable in this category.  However Harden has shown a knack for delivering the ball in good scoring situations for his teammates, and so his abilities cannot be denied.

Defense: Steph Curry wins this category as well.  Harden has always gotten a bad reputation for being a lazy defender, and rightfully so.  However, this season, Harden has not looked too bad.  The thing is though, he still isn’t an elite defender – something that Steph Curry has the potential to do.  Curry is quick, has fast hands and instincts, and plays pretty well on-the-ball.

This question was really tough, and I am glad that somebody brought this up.  While I stand by my opinion that Harden is just a fraction better than Curry, both are exceptional basketball players and have very solid years of basketball ahead of them.  I look forward to the growth and maturity of Stephen Curry and James Harden both as NBA Superstars.

James IMO Going to give you the business everynight no matter if his jumper is falling or not. Its almost impossible to double team curry on pick and rolls are Isos because his supporting cast is so good. They also have shooters that space the floor. harden is going to get it done regardless

when comparisons somewhat like this comes I always remember how you can’t judge draft class..

remember 2009 draft was called one man draft..

yes Blake might be top 10 player in the league who was an MVP contender last year and it’s stil seems he is only 3rd best player of the class..

also there are another three allstars already (Holiday, DeRozan, Teague)

Lawson Rubio Jennings Evans still looks promising

Talking about Curry vs Harden? Curry for me (by a little) mostly because efficiency and team success (not only this year but in recent playoff runs).

I think Curry is being overlooked because of the supporting cast he has at GS. Particularly, Klay has been an absolute stud lately.
