McWinningParticipantout of the 2008 draft, out of Mario Chalmers, Luc Richard Mbah a Moute, Courtny Lee, and Nichalos Batum?

McWinningParticipantno love for Luc Richard Mbah a Moute? ive seen him play and i know he might never be much of a scorer but he will be a great defender.

McWinningParticipanthe took the starting job from Villanueva, he was kind of like Batum last year where he started because of his defense.

PsychoTforPresidentParticipantBatum for some reason all I can think of is Jared Jeffries when I see him play, shows flashes but will he ever put it together.
Luc Richard Mbah a Moute reminds me of better Bruce Bowen which in not a bad career for a second rounder.
Courtny Lee will fall into the Wesley Person type mold, adequate starter but probably more of a 6th man when it comes down to it. He played in orlando because Pietrus is defense and JJ Redick is……well I will leave it at that. Again not a bad career for where he was selected.
Chalmers will be one of those players that when he gets acclimated to the NBA should be one of those All-Star game fringe players. Just not quite good enough stats to make the game except for possibly a year or two. He is a perenial starter in the NBA waiting to happen.

gatorheelsParticipantbirdzilla- out of the 4 guys you mentioned I think Batum has the most potential. I think Chalmers is the best player of the 4 right now. Based on where they were drafted I guess you would have to say that Chalmers was the biggest steal.
Some other Picks I like:
Late Lottery Steal- Anthony Randolph
Mid 1st Round Steal- McGee
Late 1st Round Steal- George Hill
2nd Round Steal- Kyle Weaver0 - Posted on: Thu, 08/06/2009 - 4:51am #196823

lthomas07ParticipantBatum has the most potential but I do not believe he will ever reach it but that is not a bad thing. He will be a soild defender and decent slasher for his career. Lee will be soild role player on playoff teams for many years to come but will never be a all-star but I may be wrong. Chalmers is not a starting point guard in the NBA, he is more a solid backup who brings great D and the intangibles to help a team win. The same can be said for Mbah a Moute b/c he is a solid defender but will never be much of an offensive threat.

JNixonParticipantI like Batum out of that group. Chalmers will continue to put up most of the same stats,
Mbah a Moute isnt a good offensive player, and I dont think he will ever be anything higher than the 5th option on a team.
And Courtney Lee is limited on offense to a lesser extent by his average athleticism.
Even though Batum is raw offensively, I like the flashes he shows from time to time, especially in his handles and shooting, and he already is a feared defender who will get better as he learns his matchups tendencies and how to really use his length. I think he has a nice future and alot of potential all-defensive awards.
George Hill is going to be good as well. He actually has alot of Tony Parker in him in that he isnt a great “playmaking” passer, but his athleticism and quickness will allow him to get to the rim and his strength and craftiness will let him be a good finisher. He also is the better defender out of him and Parker. He is a future starter.

jacksonSParticipantcourtney lee will become a reliable number 2 option in my opinion
