cuseflynn10ParticipantIt was easily Carmelo Anthony. I may be a little biased cause I’m a Cuse fan but He’s the only 1 I believe to have led his team to a national championship. They all had great years but Carmelo’s ended the best.

JNixonParticipantStatistically it was Mike Beasley and Im a huge K-State fan too, I feel like the impact he and, to a lesser extent, Bill Walker made that year has made us a better program. It has got us from a mediocre/below mediocre program to a program that now has a pipeline with one of the more talent rich cities (D.C.) and AAU teams in America (D.C. Assault). He had the greatest impact IMO, because itS affect is more long standing.

ItsVictorOladipoParticipantI’d probably go with Carmelo Anthony out of the three guys listed.
But This topic got me thinking and researching and I came up with some other absurd freshman years from just before my time as a fan.
Wayman Tisdale: 24.5 PPG, 10.3 RPG, 2.5 BPG, 1st team All-America for Oklahoma in 1983
Kenny Anderson: 20.6 PPG, 8.1 APG, 5.5 RPG, ACC first team and Georgia Tech went to the Final Four in 1990.
Chris Jackson (Mahmoud Abdul-Rauf): 30.2 PPG, 4.1 APG and 1st team All-America for LSU in 1989
Pervis Ellison: 13.2 PPG, 8.2 RPG, 2.4 BPG, numbers aren’t as impressive as the other three but he was a defensive specialist that like Carmelo led his team to a national championship (Louisville in ’86).0
