Celtics3178ParticipantThe nba is clearly turning into the super team era where guys are friends and want to play together. Right now there’s golden state, the cavs, spurs and I’ll even throw the clippers because of there big 3. Houston always pulls magic out of no where I’m wondering who people think could be next. I think right now the t-wolves have a good chance I love Dunn, Wiggins and KAT and think they have a chance to be special. I also think the Celtics are on the verge of a super team. I know Utah fans will bash me but I see Hayward opting out and signing to play for Stevens. I think after that he will trade the nets picks for a proven number one option to go with horford Hayward and it4. Any other teams people think can become super teams? I know it’s all hypothetical just curious Knicks could be possible.

Bankroll PJParticipantI could see that Celtics scenario playing out and ending with Westbrook on Celtics. The Celtics could trade IT4, Jae Crowder, Marcus Smart, and the Nets draft pick for Westbrook. That would give them a big 3 of Westbrook, Hayward, and Horford. While this 3 doesn’t compare to the Warriors or Cavs, I think it could be a highly productive team.
I could also see the TWolves try to acquire Westbrook. They could offer some package Lavine, Rubio, Shabazz, Dunn, a big man, and a draft pick. As long as they don’t have to get rid of Wiggins or KAT, this team could also be very good.
I think this goes to say the next "super team" or contender will probably include Westbrook, as he’s a free agent next year.

sheltwon3ParticipantCeltics have a good chance to be a super team especially if they can get Westbrook because they have enough draft picks that they could trade for Westbrook and not give up any big name players. Marcus Smart is probably on his way out if Westbrook is on the team along with Bradley and IT4. Celtics could always wait til next year so I doubt they get screwed on the deal to give up more than a young player and draft picks.
Minny could definitely do it and probably could get it done without moving Lavine who would be crazy next to Westbrook. Their perimeter players would be super athletic. You could trade Dunn and do a trade with Rubio to get the pieces needed to make it work without giving up your core which include Lavine.

HitsterParticipantThe Celtics are the obvious one but I think Ainge may want to keep the Nets picks up his sleeve and then have a possible bigger contending window with top young talent coming onto a contending roster.

phila9012ParticipantI hope wade takes the 3.5 million from the cavs, just to screw riley and at least give the cavs a chance against the warriors. If they could have d wade off the bench with shumpert, jefferson, mo williams and frye they have a chance.

David..PaulsParticipantI see the pelicans making a move. They have Anthony Davis allready, and alot of money this offseason to sign 2 max players. Westbrook, and say, Blake Griffin.

IndianaBasketballParticipantIt’s sad, but I keep getting this image in my mind that somehow Paul George and Russell Westbrook will end up being teammates in LA in two years. Maybe it’s just my paranoia, but I see George following in LeBron’s and Durant’s footsteps. He’s all about marketing and of course he’s from the LA area.

Dazzling Dunks and Basketball BloopersParticipantI could see the clippers making a run at Russell Westbrook next offseason. It would be an interesting dynamic playing him with Paul and would hinge on his willingness to shift to the 2 position. Don’t know how well it would actually work in reality but that could be a really scary lineup on paper and think of the drama it would create between gs and lac.

Untouchable JParticipantTop bets: Clips, Rockets, Cavs (if they trade Love)
Maybe: Knicks (let Rose walk in the offseason) , Chicago (if they sign wade coming up)
Sad to say, but this whole mentality is spearheded by the popular guys in that Olympic circle. So even tho teams like SA, Boston, and Minny are right there to facilitate a winner, they dont have one of "the" guys that are makign all these back door moves: cp3, Melo, Bron, Harden, Wade
Id actually say Love being shipped for parts and freeing up cap space for another max player is the MOST likely in summer 2017

BiggysmallsParticipantI think IndianaBasketball is onto something with the George-Westbrook duo in LA in a couple years. I wouldn’t be surprised at all if Westy bolts to L.A. next summer and George would be a prime trade candidate at that point depending on how Indiana is doing.
I really hope that doesnt happen because George is one of my favorite players in the game and it’s just in my nature to dislike the Lakers. So that would be conflicting for me.
The Lakers are always a contender to form a super team if only because they are in LA and will always be chasing big name free agents.
The Wolves might develop into a contender but they will never be able to form a "super team" unless they nail their draft picks. The "Tundra Tax" is real and elite players just won’t be going there.

nill650ParticipantThe Cavs are already a superteam and really only 1 allstar player off the bench away from being more of a a superteam than GSW if you want to call it that, JR Smith has become an elite player, his defense made a huge difference against the warriors backcourt, and he wasn’t even asked to score like he did all season either. Then you add that to what they already have in reserves from Frye to Jefferson and the production they got out of Tristan Thompson was elite as well. If they can sign Terrence Jones if he would take less $ like so many are doing to join a champion and is cleared as healthy would push them over the top
