 Who will get drafted extremely high and fail to produce and have their fans second guessing the pick? I think Derrick Williams only because I don’t see him even when full developed as a franchise changing player and he will go top 3

 I’d say Derrick Williams as well as I think it’ll take him awhile to figure out his role in the NBA(like Turner). Like Turner I see Williams being a great player, it’ll just take him time to figure the NBA because he doesn’t have a position.

I think he is a great scorer but people have questioned his defense, reminds me of jj. redick and adam morrison type of players(great scorers in college role or garbage player in nba). I agree with derrick williams, I think he struggle playing against nba players, might be a good player but not a star.

Plus, no way Jimmer will be able to attack the rim like he does in college. Rose is as explosive as they come and he gets his shot rejected a lot. People’s expectations are too high on him.

Perry Jones could still obviously be that guy. DraftExpress and ESPN both having him going top 5 still even though he’s the biggest high risk elite prospect and now has off the court troubles. To me he’s the one that could easily disappoint.

I agree Perry Jones is kind of the Derrick Favors(project wise) of this years draft with extra bagagge. He’s has tons of potential, but it will take time, and also effort from jones(he may or may not ever reach it)

Jimmer is not going to go top 5 thus will not be in a Evan Turner/Demarcus Cousins situation…Kemba could fly up to a top 5 position if one of the 4 lottery teams in need a point guards/scorers (Raptors, Wolves, Kings, Cavs) then there’s a slew of mid lottery teams like the Bobcats and Pistons that may take him if they get lucky in the Lottery…I think Kemba will struggle in the NBA getting shots off like he did in college, I can’t see him attacking the rim much year 1 either, he could be the National Player of the Year candidate that should a solid player but struggles at the start…expectations can be high for Kemba as they were for Turner, just saying….

Kemba will make a quicker adjustment than Jimmer, based on the fact that his defense is much stronger, he has NBA speed/quickness, the only obstacle for Kemba is adjusting against big PGs. Kemba reminds me of Darren Collison, and I think he will make the same immediate splash that Collison has done his first 2 season.

Derrick Williams is the truth.  You guys are jokers.  You can’t evaluate talent at all. 

I can see Kanter getting abused by NBA bigs.  He’s not nearly athletic enough to have his way with guys like he did in the hoop summit game.  The kid can’t jump… no explosion.  All skill, no power game.  What makes Kanter better then Omer Asik?  Don’t fall in love with 7 footers.  There is a reason why the NBA is void of quality centers.  There is a reason why Chuck Hayes at 6ft6 can hold his own against NBA centers.

Perry Jones, he lacks a position at the next level and he won’t be able to jump right in and be a productive power forward, nor will be suddenly acquire the speed needed to play small forward at the next level.  Some lanky young forwards at least produce as shot blockers and rebounders, but to me Jones is a weaker defender, rebounder and shot blocker than Derrick Favors, Ed Davis and Larry Sanders.

I could see Jones averaging about 5 points and 3 rebounds as a rookie and I could also see him going in the top 7.

Look at K.Love…Kanter is in the same mold. Not predicting he’ll put up the same numbers as Love, but he has skill. I’ll take pure skill over raw athletic ability any day.

I’m not sold on D. Williams. Is he a B.Griffin? Beasley? or Corliss Williamson? I think one of the latter. He’ll be a solid rotation guy, but I don’t see stardom in his future.

Perry Jones is the big question mark of this years draft. I see Eddie Griffin written all over him. All the potential in the world, but something wrong in his head.

I see Jimmer as the second coming of J.J. He’ll become a solid rotation player if he works hard. But he ain’t no star.

Why is it so absurd Perry Jones will not have a big rookie year?  I don’t feel he’d start for many teams in the lottery and lets, face it you have to play to produce.

 My vote is Enes Kanter. He could be a beast but 3 things about him concern me:

1. Hasn’t played a whole game this entire season. Yet scouts still project him as a top 5 pick. Nothing wrong with this, but I think its certainly a concern that scouts should consider. Just like they should consider that Kyrie Irving has only been healthy for 8 games this season. Grant it he was great in those 8 games, and he certainly warrants a top 3 pick but scouts should still consider the fact that he has only been healthy for 8 games this season. Same consideratin should be given to Kanter.

2. A little small for the Center position. Only 6’10 but might measure in smaller at like 6’9. 

3. I’ve heard he has knee problems. Could also be this year’s Greg Oden.

How is there no mention of Harrison Barnes? Barnes is one of my favorite prospects in the draft and he has big allstar potential but I really think he needs a ton of time to develop, he isn’t ready to be an impact player. Until he gets his ballhandling to a competent level and shows more consistency creating his own shot and on the defensive end he won’t be that player we all think he will be initially. I think 3-4 years down the road Barnes will be a stud, but I think anyone expecting him to step in and be a 20 point scorer is wrong. Turner’s major issue is shooting, Barnes major issue is ballhandling, when both improve on those skills they will be right on track.
