LegendParticipantI say Eric Maynor. Thoughts?
0 - Posted on: Sun, 06/14/2009 - 3:12pm #164260

birdman1113ParticipantStephon Curry i think.
0 - Posted on: Sun, 06/14/2009 - 3:13pm #164262
specialkParticipantGonna have to go with Stephen Curry. Eric Maynor had that great shot, but I would choose curry to take it before him.
0 - Posted on: Sun, 06/14/2009 - 3:13pm #164264
LegendParticipanti think curry is right up there as well
0 - Posted on: Sun, 06/14/2009 - 3:19pm #164270

RickyRubio9ParticipantCurry, only because he is a real three point threat and can get his shot off at just about anytime no matter who is guarding him and doesn’t need a clean look.
0 - Posted on: Sun, 06/14/2009 - 3:26pm #164273

gatorheelsParticipantCurry isn’t that clutch. He just shoots so much he is bound to make some. Give me 20 shots a game and I’ll score 30 points too against that weak a$$ competition Curry faced all year. Curry is a descent pick though, he is a hell of a shooter. Maynor is a good choice as well. Personally I think Jack McClinton & Tyreke Evans are both pretty clutch. At the end of a game I wouldn’t mind either one of those players to have the ball in their hands.
0 - Posted on: Sun, 06/14/2009 - 3:30pm #164275

RickyRubio9Participanthave said Evans but the fact that he shot..what 29.1 % from 3? I just couldn’t take him. I need someone who can shoot rather then drive.
0 - Posted on: Sun, 06/14/2009 - 3:34pm #164281
D HampParticipantEric Devendorf. Dude hit major clutch shots all year.
DHamp…No Bias. No Bull
0 - Posted on: Sun, 06/14/2009 - 3:35pm #164284
Mr.Duke 1426ParticipantTyreke is too easy to guard in crunch time. He has too inconsistent of a shot so people just sag off of him. The only reason he went off on MU is because MU doesn’t sag off on anybody. It’s not they’re style. And also how many big shots has he hit this year? Well my pick would be Maynor. He has the best readiness of anybody in the draft other than griffin and harden.
0 - Posted on: Sun, 06/14/2009 - 3:37pm #164286

Meditated StatesParticipantFlynn was 11 for 11 in that crazy overtime game against uconn from the line. I do like Curry too because he can shoot it anywhere past the half court line.
0 - Posted on: Sun, 06/14/2009 - 3:37pm #164288

gatorheelsParticipantHaha D Hamp….nice pick….What about Paul Harris and that smooth jumpshot he has?
0 - Posted on: Sun, 06/14/2009 - 3:42pm #164299
D HampParticipantNope Paul Harris couldn’t shoot a jump shot five feet away from the basketball.
And whoever said Flynn, no offense, and he did hit two games winners in his two seasons at SU one against Kansas in a crazy 17 point comback at the buzzard, is clutch like that.
But Devo, he hit a lot of shots!!! HA HA HA. It was crazy. Dude has his own greastest hits collection.
DHamp…Hubie Brown…No Bias. No Bull
0 - Posted on: Sun, 06/14/2009 - 3:44pm #164303
ncballerThe midgets. Johnny Flynn’s game against UConn speaks for itself. Ty Lawson came up with big shot after big shot and saved UNC’s butt time after time this season.
0 - Posted on: Sun, 06/14/2009 - 3:44pm #164304

gatorheelsParticipantI gotta admit Flynn & Devo are both pretty clutch. I was obviously joking about Harris ha.
0 - Posted on: Sun, 06/14/2009 - 3:46pm #164308

JJ7ParticipantEasily did you see Curry in that 2008 NCAA tournament he was great. and you cant say that was against poor opposition.
0 - Posted on: Sun, 06/14/2009 - 3:50pm #164319

gatorheelsParticipantummm yeah…he shot 9 for 25 from the field…against Kansas…Like I said you shoot that many time you are bound to make some.
0 - Posted on: Sun, 06/14/2009 - 3:51pm #164325

thaprodigyParticipantthat’s why steph curry torchered Duke though right cuz double teams he gets are weak right??
0 - Posted on: Sun, 06/14/2009 - 3:51pm #164322
D HampParticipantPlease stop speaking up on Flynn and the UCONN game. Hell, Devo hit the major shot in that game anyway. Let’s not mention Devo was leading the team in mins that game until fouling out in the fifith overtime.
You want clutch, Syracuse wouldn’t have even got to UCONN has DEVO not scored 22 second half points against Rutgers to get Syracuse to that game.
DHamp…Hubie Brown…No Bias. No Bull
0 - Posted on: Sun, 06/14/2009 - 3:53pm #164329

gatorheelsParticipantI like Curry. I just think he may get too much credit as far as being clutch. I mean he takes all the shots. Duke sucks, they have absolutely terrible defense.
0 - Posted on: Sun, 06/14/2009 - 3:54pm #164332

RickyRubio9ParticipantThis is why I love NBADraft.net. The back and forth, pleading cases, and people like D Hamp and his knowledge. haha. Dude was obviously joking ’bout Harris and he probably knew you’d give your intake on it to us all. 🙂 I’m not trying to diss anyone before you think that.
0 - Posted on: Sun, 06/14/2009 - 4:02pm #164347
D HampParticipantI’m sure he was jocking. Paul Harris is the laughing stock of basketball. It wouldn’t be funny however, if he had a jumper. He would probably be drafter around the 15th pick. Harris is the clown of college basketball.
Hubie Brown
0 - Posted on: Sun, 06/14/2009 - 4:10pm #164364

JJ7ParticipantSo Kobe takes a lot of shots so does that mean he is not clutch : P
0 - Posted on: Sun, 06/14/2009 - 5:08pm #164467

torontoraptors10ParticipantJames Harden
0 - Posted on: Sun, 06/14/2009 - 5:15pm #164477
Knicks11203Participantima have to go with curry he is a pure shooter!
0 - Posted on: Sun, 06/14/2009 - 5:28pm #164491

sheltwon3ParticipantDude can shoot and he has made tough shots and also he can get his shot off at any time. There may be people that have done slightly better in the clutch at some time but overall he is the man. Also with the talent that was on his team every game may have had some clutch to it lol
0 - Posted on: Sun, 06/14/2009 - 5:36pm #164502
Michael.S.Participantsent a game into OT with a half court buzzer beater and went on to win the game he finished with 51 24 12 and7. That’s pretty clutch
0 - Posted on: Sun, 06/14/2009 - 5:41pm #164512
LarryDaTruBirdmanParticipantI agree with torontoraptors4 because Harden Is one of the most NBA-ready guys
0 - Posted on: Sun, 06/14/2009 - 5:41pm #164513

Yankeep12Participantjonny flynn, no questions about it
0 - Posted on: Sun, 06/14/2009 - 5:45pm #164518
LarryDaTruBirdmanParticipantWhy Jonny Flynn? I’d prefer Lawson for a PG
0 - Posted on: Sun, 06/14/2009 - 5:50pm #164528

rvirsalParticipanthe can shoot with 3 guys trying to block him.
0 - Posted on: Sun, 06/14/2009 - 5:50pm #164531
LarryDaTruBirdmanParticipantBut what about clutch?
0 - Posted on: Sun, 06/14/2009 - 6:06pm #164545

rvirsalParticipantthat means that he’s really confident with his shot. he will take that shot if he knows he can make it. that’s what clutch players do.
0 - Posted on: Sun, 06/14/2009 - 6:10pm #164551
mbrown6495are u kidding me? Toney Douglas made shot after shot to beat in the second half angainst nc Clemson twice and led the acc in Second half scoring. Also jonny flynn and James harden
0 - Posted on: Sun, 06/14/2009 - 6:18pm #164558
Mr.Duke 1426ParticipantDuke sucks!?!?!? Can’t play D?!?!? Duke had one guy over 6-10! Andhe sucked!!! Duke is the best PERIMETER defending team in college basketball almost every year. Now I am biased but you don’t have to be biasedto know that what I just said is true. You are a UNC fan so you are naturally going to hate on Duke.(I understand) but you can’t let the rivalry interfere with what is correct. Now sure I’m going to root against UNC but I still picked them to win it all. And I hate tylor hansbrough but I don’t say he sucks or he’s overrated because of that. And oh yeah watch out for Duke this year haha 😉
0 - Posted on: Sun, 06/14/2009 - 6:19pm #164564

Tha King2121ParticipantI dont really like him that much but I think he is the most clutch.
Not really for his shot but to create looks for other people, i dont
no if u call him a clutch player or clutch playmarker.0 - Posted on: Sun, 06/14/2009 - 7:01pm #164583

marcusfizer21ParticipantStephen Curry has the chance to be clutch in the NBA… I do love the comparisons with him and Mahmoud Abdul-Rauf aka chris Jackson… They have similar game… Clutch to the max…
0 - Posted on: Sun, 06/14/2009 - 7:28pm #164597

sheltwon3ParticipantHave you seen Curry in work outs dude shot is so pretty it is ridiculous man. Does he miss lol. I also so that put back dunk. He is more athletic than people want to claim. I do like those Mike Bibby comparison a while back but Curry is a different kind of player but Bibby use to shoot real well in college and he could lead a team.
0 - Posted on: Sun, 06/14/2009 - 8:23pm #164612
j1232eParticipantwas the most clutch player. The dude played his best when the game was on the line. I would want the ball in his hands over the last 3 yrs. than any body else.
0 - Posted on: Mon, 06/15/2009 - 1:03am #164639
Lodzio20ParticipantJames Johnson and Jonny Flynn
0 - Posted on: Mon, 06/15/2009 - 3:39am #164653
diecity boyParticipantERIC MAYNOR is the most clutch in the draft not only b/c of the shot against Duke but he hits big shots game after game! And he has that unteachable trait KILLA INSTINCT!!
0 - Posted on: Mon, 06/15/2009 - 4:25am #164366

gatorheelsParticipantI’ve seen Curry miss a lot more shots towards the end of games than I have seen him make. You have to remember also that Curry gets a chance to take a clutch shot way more often than most players cuz he team was garbage. If Curry played for North Carolina we wouldn’t be talking as much about him I promise you. Yeah Kobe is pretty clutch.
0 - Posted on: Mon, 06/15/2009 - 4:29am #164669

gatorheelsParticipantR u Serious? This is not a biased opinion. Did u see Duke play Villanova in the sweet sixteen this year. Their defense was garbage. Their perimeter is pretty good but it isn’t the best. I was saying overall their Defense is whack because they can’t guard players one on one. Villanovas’ guards penetrated at will all game long. Curry would easily do the same thing.
0- Posted on: Mon, 06/15/2009 - 8:01am #164810
yoParticipantIn the last two years Jack McClinton has probably made more clutch shots than any player in college basketball. These shots have come against some of the best teames in college basketball, mainly the ACC. Jack mcClinton’s shooting range is probably the deepest in college ball including Steph Curry. Jack is the All Time ACC 3pt fg percentage leader. Coach K was quoted as saying that McClinton is one of the best shooters he has seen at any level. His shot is like a dagger and can completely change the flow of a game. Coach Roy Williams has made similar remarks. This past season Wake Forest coach(can’t think of his name) said in their game against Miami he witness one of the best shooting and scoring exhibitions in ACC basketball during the last 10 years. McClinton has ice water in his veins.
