Mr. BasketballParticipantIf they get the #1, most people would say Blake Griffin. However, if they don’t, would they then draft Rubio even though they have b-diddy and his big contract? Rubio imo would be the best fit of all the prospects for them. What do you think?

jdubsram-13ParticipantI agree due to the fact that b-diddy has been plagued with injuries and they already have plenty of bigs (Camby, Kaman, Randolph, and a young prospect Jordan) I dont know if any of their contracts expire but it seems that they have filled every position with a star or prospect (SG-Gordon, SF-Thornton) and what they could use is an insurance or very good back-up for Davis. I would lean more towards Rubio though because Jennings has struggled against older pros.

grwgoden08ParticipantI haven’t seen A LOT of Jennings, but I feel he will fit better in the Clippers system compared to Rubio.

Mr. BasketballParticipantJennings is more of a run and gun all the time pg like baron who is having problems in their current system so i would think rubio who is better in the half court than jennings would be a better fit.

themidnightriderParticipantOn paper, the clippers should be good, shouldnt they? At guards they have Davis and Gordon- gordon is under a rookie contract and davis is getting paid everything under the sun and no other team will trade for him. Thornton mans the 3 and he is young and not going anywhere. They do have a bunch of bigs- Camby/randolph/kaman, but they are all injury risks. I say if they get a top 5 pick they draft Griffin or Hill, just for more frontcourt depth.

triplesss05ParticipantThey should try to clean house and try to get rid of all those ugly contacts (randolph, kaman, etc. ) instead of taking them on from teams like the knicks. Then they should draft a big such as a blake griffin or jordan hill to build around with Eric Gordon who is a flat out stud. Keep Thornton, and Camby can be that veteran influence. Get rid of dunleavy who is holding BD back and you have a promising core.

M.1.0.The Clippers as many say are supposed to be good… They’re not! Through the awesome ESPN NBA Trade Machine, I found some trades that would work to help them. As for the draft, go with Ricky Rubio. This trade is not real……it’s what I think should happen.
Atlanta trades:
Joe Johnson—–Los Angeles
Josh Smith—–Toronto
Toronto trades:
Andrea Bargnani—–Atlanta
Chris Bosh—–Los Angeles
Los Angeles trades:
Mardy Collins—–Atlanta
Baron Davis—–Toronto
Zach Randolph—–AtlantaIn the end….
Atlanta receives:Andrea Bargnani, Mardy Collins, & Zach Randolph
Toronto receives:Josh Smith & Baron Davis
Los Angeles receives:Chris Bosh & Joe Johnson0 - Posted on: Sun, 03/29/2009 - 3:03pm #144135
ucantcheckmejdj3ParticipantLOL if you think the Clippers can trade B Diddy and Zach Randolph and get back Chris Bosh and Joe Johnson. please step away from the bong.

jorrye24On paper the Clippers have a nice looking squad with no true weaknesses. They should probably go with whoever the best prospect available on their draft board. If they do aim at a position it should be a pf/c or a backup point guard. They should either trade the pick or do what I said above.
