Wall and Cousins. End of story… the most potential.

Griffin and Turner if you want to play it safe though (on and off the court).

    No buyers on anyone else??

Turner/Griffin – Triple double threat with a guy that will be the best PF in the league one day..

Evans/Lopez – One of the only rookies to ever go 20-5-5 and Lopez is already the a top 10 C in the league.

Westbrook/Davis – An MVP canidate one day and a dynamic player with the ability to carry a team and Davis could be a very nice PF.

Rose/Evans – Rose is the one of the youngest MVPs ever and will probably be one of the greats PGs of all time and Evans is an atheltic forward…

I have faith in all those other sidekicks you mentioned .. but not Evans lol. I actually like Turner and Blake now that I really thought about it. If they were paired up, however, they would still need a better PG who can take care of the rock and if you say Luke is another player on the team, then I would work my team around Blake and ET

No.. Rose is going to be oneof the greatest PGs of all time.. Wall has yet to even play a whole season.. Just sayin.. Westbrook got Davis who is also injuy prone and looks like he could be average for his career..  Evans is great with a huge qestion and so is Lopez…  Its fair..

If you dont think so, just dont pick his pair..

but using your other "top 5 players" on the team

Luke Ridnour, Chris Anderson, James Posey, Brandon Bass, Quinten Richardson = Nice role players but not a major threat to every team except if you’re the Cavs or Bobcats probably. If those 5 players would give you 50 ppg, I would be surprised. James Posey is a defensive player whose good for a spot up 3 every once in a while. Luke is great but Rose doesn’t rest a lot so playing Luke and Rose at the same time would be very undersized and not really a great defensive backcourt from either player. Chris Anderson is good defenisevly but he’s getting old and is never giving you more than 10 ppg IF he has a good day. Bass is good player who will give you some nice points but isn’t a great defender again. And Q-Rich is only 3 point shooting but he hasn’t been a dynamic scorer since his Suns days so he won’t make a difference.

Like I said, If Rose is good for 25-30 ppg and the other 5 can give you 50 ppg (really pushing it IMO), 75-80 ppg is not going to cut it. And then you give him Evans so that should bring their total points up to 80-87 ppg. Still would put them as one of the worst offensive teams.

Rose is great! but even he cannot lead a team like that to the playoffs. In real life, Rose has a 18 ppg scorer in Boozer and a 17 ppg to defer to so he can get his buckets. Give him Evans, Luke, and Chris Anderson, Rose cannot and will not be an effective guard IMO

I would take Rose and Evans. Rose is one of the best young players in the league
and is great at getting to the basket. Rose can lead a team and he took the Bulls to the Eastern Confernce Finals. Jeremy Evans is pretty good is is athletic. He would be a nice finisher with Rose.

Luke Ridnour would be a solid backup point guard similar to Captain Kirk a couple of years ago. James Posey is a nice defensive 3 off the bench and would bring playoff experience and veteran leadership. I think these two are not starter material but would be good players off the bench.

Brandon Bass can score inside and rebound kind of like a younger, cheaper Carlos Boozer. He could be the inside guy with Rose being the outside guy. I think Rose complements Bass better than Blake Griffin (another
    4) would. Chris Anderson can play either the 4 or 5 and can rebound and block shots. Ironically he reminds me somewhat of an older Joakhim Noah.

Quentin Richardson is another veteran who can play with Rose. He could be a solid scorer and 3 point shooter.

I think if Jeremy Evans could score 14 or 15 points a gams then this would be a decent team. I think Bass could get 14 or 15 points too with Q getting 10-12. Rose
would give you 25-30 a night with Ridnour coming off the bench for around 10 points a game. There are some good defenders on this team so you would only need about 15 points total out of Anderson and Posey combined which would be possible.

    Rose: 25 points
    Evans: 15 points
    Bass: 15 points
    Q Richardson: 11 points
    Ridnour: 10 points

    Total: 76 points

If the Posey/Birdman combo only got you 10-12 additional points that would be enough in the East if Rose scored closer to 30 points or if Bass or Evans scored closer to 20 points.

    Starters:

    Pg: Derrick Rose
    Sg: Q Richardson
    Sf: Jeremy Evans
    Pf: Brandon Bass
    C: Chris Anderson

    Bench:

pg: Luke Ridnour — could also play some 2 in a small ball lineup with Rose
Sf: Posey — denfender and 3 point shooter who has enough size to play some 4

Thats messed up. Russell Westbrook goes from scoring champ Kevin Durant as a teammate to Ed Davis, a injury prone bench scrub that cant start for the Raptors.

I’d take Turner and Griffin.  Unless injuries hits (he plays for the clippers so lets assume they will) everyone thinks Griffin is going to the hall of fame already and he’s one year into his career.  Plus if and when Philly finally get rid of Iguodala I think Turner will be pretty damn good.  Cousins will always be a question mark.

And I could lie but I wont.  I have no idea who or what Jeremy Evans is.

You couldn’t give Rose like Hakim Warrick or something…? There’s better athletic PFs at the end of benches. Lol

This list it’s easily Wall & Cousins though. We’ve seen what they can do together, and they both still have tons of potential.

Turner & Griffin is intruiging as well…but I still don’t match up to the star power of the Wall/Cousins duo.

Evans & Lopez is probably the best duo if we’re going off NBA production, but neither guy strikes me as someone who can make a team a winner as the alpha-male.

I’m taking Rose and Evans!…if Evans is going to be a key player on my team, I’m gonna lose a ton of games and draft Harrison Barnes.

I would go with either Turner/Griffin or Rose/Evans. In the NBA you almost always need a dominant player to win a championship and Rose is the only player on that  list  who is already dominant and I feel that Griffin is only a year or two away from being the best PF in the league and a dominant player in his own right. If I was really starting a franchise I really wouldn’t care if Evans was thrown in, he wouldn’t be making much money anyway giving me enough salary cap room to go after another top player to pair with Rose.

Griffin/Turner – After Rose, I think Griffin is the best player on that list right now and he is clearly still getting better. Great character guy as well. Probably top 20 player in the league right now with good chance of being a top 10 player for several years as he hits his prime. Wall is awesome, but there are 10 other point guards in the league who you could say the same thing about. Some of those 10 are old, but there are new stud point guards coming into the league every year (see last draft). So as important as PG is, I’ve got to downgrade Wall because of the competition. Cousins is just looking like potential with some headcase issues. Nothing changed there. Cousins hasn’t showed enough to pass up on Griffin.
