JJ7ParticipantI reckon it will be Jennings, Flynn or DeRozan!
Personally I would like it to be Jennings Or DeRozan imagine them in NY offence.

angelcalduchParticipantDan Peterson is convinced that Ricky Rubio can handle the rigours of the NBA and be successful from the get-go.
The former Italian league coach and Milan-based broadcaster also lashed out at fellow draft entrant Brandon Jennings, responding to the barb by Jennings that Rubio was nothing more than a You Tube fad.
“Ricky Rubio is not overhyped,” said Peterson, who broadcast several of Jennings’ games last season for Lottomatica Virtus Roma.
“Jennings is overhyped. He has it all backwards. He is all about trying to dominate one-on-one, all concerned with individual talent. I find it hilarious.”
Peterson did admit that Jennings’ had the physical package to succeed in the NBA, with lightning-quick pace and upside, but thought that the Roma youngster was still not NBA-ready.
Rubio, however, is primed to take over the NBA by storm.
“One of the things that happens in the NBA, everybody has a theory on what a guy can’t do. That’s all you hear. Sacramento would be very lucky to get Ricky Rubio. It would be a good place for (Rubio), the capital city of California, not too big.”
“He is just a terrific player, though he needs to improve his three-point shooting. He gets into the lane, draws fouls, has the whole package. People would love him there. He’s a winner.”
“I would throw myself in front of a bus for Ricky Rubio. But I would have a hard time having Brandon Jennings on my team. I would send him home.”
Meanwhile, the New York Knicks are rumoured to be interested in trading up in the upcoming NBA draft to snag Spanish point guard prodigy.

Nico4nicolasParticipantThey could pick Flynn, the guy can drive the team and they need someone to do it, Chris Duhon is starter because they don’t have anybody else. The other option is to select Holiday, the guy has more upside and defense than Flynn, both pick would make sense. The 8th pick might be too hight to draft Blair but they also need somebody to fight inside, Lee is almost alone. Blair has this fighting spirit which suits very well with the Knicks tradition, it would be pick which draws a lot of criticism but it feels a need better than DeRozan.

nepaliman_7Participantholiday- he’s a true point guard that can play good defense. plus, with his size, him and nate robinson could be the knicks backcourt of the future

sheltwon3ParticipantIf they cant get Curry they should look at Evans, Holiday or Harden if he fall because if Curry gets drafted higher than 8 some people will fall.

Amsterdam305410Participantthen go with Derozan,Jennings Fynn or Jordan Hill
0 - Posted on: Fri, 06/19/2009 - 6:26am #168156
RemarqParticipantFlynn, or Evans. Did any one read the ESPN Hollinger Draft article posted on here yesterday? Everyone who is saying DeRozan needs to read it ASAP. Anyway, I really dont want Jennings, I dont think he will develop well and his attitude is absolutely horrible. Bad attitudes and immaturity have killed our team for years, we cant continue to act as though character doesn’t matter.
Edit* I like Holiday too.

knicksfan7ParticipantJonny Flynn if the Warriors do not select him. Flynn is represented by Leon Rose, who also represents Lebron. Besides that Flynn is a very vocal Point guard who also prides himself in his defense, the Knicks need that type of player. GO KNICKS!!!!

RedlogicParticipantwe need a floor general point blank. My preference is Johnny Flynn, however I would settle on Jennings as well. DeRozen = Bust!!

LegendParticipantits gotta be flynn. lets not forget he comes from niagra ny and played at su. He also had some stellar games in the garden. NYC loves him and he has the leadership and potential to become a great player and potential all star

RedlogicParticipantI agree wit Legend, hes got heart….we need guys who will come out and play every nite no matter the circumstance
0 - Posted on: Fri, 06/19/2009 - 8:30am #168335

Knicksboy34ParticipantAs a True Hardcore Knick fan…If Curry and Hill are not there at 8…I think Holiday would be the pick and ill tell you why
DeRozan could be a good pick but then your not getting anything from this pick in 09 and you need to impress LBJ
Henderson I like…I like that pick
Holiday can come in and and play PG and provide a defensive presence on D. Chandler, Jefferies and Holiday would be the only 3 under contract in 2010.

ckowalskiParticipanteddy curry is under contract 2 i believe. i honestly think the knicks go with a combo guard like a holiday or evans or derozan because in their minds they think they have already signed lebron, amare and nash in 2010.
0 - Posted on: Fri, 06/19/2009 - 8:41am #168351
pman23ParticipantI think they should draft Flynn. He is kind of like Curry. He can find his teammates easy and he can also shoot. He also likes to run as you saw in the Syracuse/Uconn Game. He played 67 minutes. He would fit really good in D’Antonio System.
