which would you rather have for a contending team?
    1) a traditional center

I’ll take the traditional center that can be a presence inside.

In the West, I’d rather have a Traditional Center because of the tough inside play.

In the East, traditional centers while, effective at clogging the lane, have a tough time defending Centers who step out with good mobility (David Lee, Bosh, Bargnani, Rasheed Wallace, Blatche, Murphy, etc.) I don’t know man, in the East, you could try to Dwight Howard everyone, or try to Bosh people with quickness. It all depends on whoever’s on the team, really

I will take the traditional, old school, fill up the lane big man anyday. There is a reason why Wade wants to play with Howard so bad. He knows from playing with Shaq that if you have an unstoppable force down low it frees up so much more space for the scorers. There aren’t a lot of true centers anymore but just look at some of the track records of recent big men: Russell-11 rings, Admiral-4 rings, Shaq-4 rings, Hakeem-2 rings. I know Russell isn’t recent but can’t leave him off and Robinson is a center, I don’t care what you say. Also, in case you guys haven’t noticed, the Euro league phenomena is going away. Too many busts and too hard to scout the players transition to the NBA game have left GM’s wary at draft night. Plus, the contracts that some of these players are in means waiting too long for your player. I am digressing but I would take a 7′ 280 center all day. Unless his name is Curry of course.

wich would you u have if you have a………
pg that manages a game defensive minded and 1 to 0 to’s a game but offensive game struggles
a sg that is your leader and the heart of the team 20+ scorer loves to hit the mid-range jumper
a sf that loves to put it on the floor and strugles with his shot. great on the open floor
a undersized pf who makes his money with hustle and grabbing rebounds
a 6th man that loves the 3 point shot
so who wud the center be?

as mentioned before NO teams in this league win with a three pt shooting euro center… think of the teams that have a real shot at a title this yr (lakers, bos, cle, orl) and they all have one thing in common NO bigs that live out at the three pt line that are keys players on there team
