Ballzach30ParticipantI think the kings should start to go into a complete rebuild. You wont be winning a title anytime soon with rudy gay in your starting lineup. DeMarcus cousins is a top three center in the league but cant carry that team by himself. They need to just start selling. Their management is among the worst in the league and wont be getting better anytime sooner. They just need to blow it up and build through the draft since they arent a prime free agent destination.

B-dizzle97ParticipantI think at some point Brooklyn has to tear down and begin to rebuild. The best player in their starting line up is a very injury prone Brook Lopez, who they shouldve traded last year. I think at some point they have to gut the roster and go into full rebuild mode instead of just contending for the 8th seed every year like they are now.

BleedGreen808ParticipantThey can’t tear it down to rebuild. Boston gets their 1st rounders in 2016 and 2018. Also in 2017 Boston has the right to swap 1st rounders with Brooklyn. So all they would be doing is gifting top picks to Boston. I think Brooklyn is stuck and has no choice but to try to sign big free agents in the next couple of years.

B-dizzle97ParticipantDo those picks have any protection on them?

BleedGreen808ParticipantUnprotected in 2016 and 18.

B-dizzle97ParticipantWow thats a ball buster for the Nets. I did not realize there was no protection on those picks. I just assumed they at least had top 5 protection.

T RexNow you know our little secret. We also have the Mavs’ first rounder this next year, top 7 protected.
Mavs should def be on the "rebuilding" list, and they very well may tank for a top 7 pick.

abyers22ParticipantThe thunder should realize they arent going to be able to retain Kevin Durant after this season, and search out a carmelo-type deal to get something in return for him. He is a top-5 player in the league and they would recieve a ton in return. Trading him, along with Serge Ibaka and Enes Kanter could return a lot of picks or young talent and rebuild the team around Russell Westbrook allowing the young players to grow around him and return themselves into a power in the west in a few short years instead of being spurned in free agendy by KD

prophetmeirParticipantSac can not rebuild they been in rebuild mode every since c webb left really, They have tried to build through the draft and that has not worked for them. There are others methods of rebuilding while staying competitive. I am very interested to see what Memphis is going to do with an aging randloph

Ballzach30ParticipantWell its all managements faults that they make terrible decisions. They havnt hit on hardly any of their draft picks, except demarcus and possible ben mclemore. Management is putting this team in the ground. I’ve always felt bad for sacramento they just cant catch a break really. Hopefully willie cant help demarcus on defense so he can spend even more energy for offense. This whole mess though is becasue the owners keep screwing them each time.

Memphis MadnessParticipantThe Kings have a bunch of talent on paper. Hey, it might work. Crazier things have happened.
I agree with prophet too. If the Grizzlies start slowly it could be a long trade deadline.

ExumInfernoParticipantPhoenix fans may not agree, but if they are losing more than they are winning maybe they decide to blow it up.
They signed veteran center Chandler, no need to keep him around at big money when the Suns can get some picks and he can help a contender.
Obviously they are having problems with the remaining Morris.
The idea of two point guards can be fun to watch, but if Bledsoe and Knight are not all enough to defend some shooting guards, if Booker shoots so well that he ahs to start, then moving out one of the point guards makes sense.
So if Phoenix isn’t getting into the playoffs, although they are a chance to finish 7 or 8 if everything goes well, then they might decide to free up money and rebuild around Len, Booker and one of Knight or Bledsoe.

SmooveKRYPTParticipantThey had a mildly succesful year 2 seasons ago and even though they got swept in those playoffs (granted it was against Miami and Al got hurt), they started carrying themselves as though they’d be a perrenial playoff team. I think they’re going to realize the Kemba/Big Al/MKG core has probably reached it’s ceiling without a star caliber scorer to pair with them. Al is a free agent after this season as is Batum. If they get off to a so so start I could see them being sellers at the deadline.

sitlbitoParticipantPortland has already started, and I’d say Dallas tbh. Simply because the West is so stacked, good teams will explode because of the level of play in this conference. Dallas has no chance in the near future to be a contender again.
