piratejpParticipantHey maybe some of you Bulls fans can help me out here. Assuming Chicago grabs a big like Blair or Hansborough with the 16 pick, it seems likely to me that they address SG with the 26 pick. If Buginger, Meeks, Thornton & Ellington were all still on the board, what order would Chicago rank them based on fit, style of play, etc?
Or do you think it more likely they grab a SG at 16 & go big at 26? I don’t think so, unless the bigs all get snatched up early. If that happened, who would maybe fall that the Bulls would grab?
Thanks.

ctw724ParticipantTerrence Williams or Gerald Henderson early (#16) and Sam Young or Chase Budinger late (#26).
I would go Blair early and Young late. I like TWILL, but I think he will be gone.

ucantcheckmejdj3Participantif they could get Wayne Ellington at #26, that would be an excellent pick up for them, especially if Ben Gordon leaves.

juves4783Participanti’d go for blair or hansborough at 16, then sg or sf at 26. i don’t think ellington, t-will or budinger will be around at 26, so maybe a dajuan summers or sam young at 26 and move salmons to sg or take marcus thorton or toney douglas to replace gordan.

DeRozanfan11I think that they need to go big at #16.

ZKParticipantThat is who I have them taking at least. He reminds me of Gordon in a way, and he would be a nice repacement. It’d be a good pick up if he was still available at #26..

WindyCity23ParticipantHe is a very nice complimentary player if BG leaves for free agency. If Budinger is still there, i’d be very surprised and the Bulls should choose him if he is still there. I think a dark horse candidate would be Jermaine Taylor from UCF because of his great athleticism and scoring ability off the bench.

chibulls88ParticipantSalmons should move to SG next year so the bulls need a backup who can play both SG and SF. T-Will, Budinger, Young, and Danny Green in that order would suffice though T-Will and Budinger aren’t likely to be there. A pure SG or SF would be ok so long as they can defend and aren’t undersized (Toney Douglas)

Terrence Williams will be there if the suns don’t take him.

ChiTowns FinestParticipantwell first of all its strong possibility that they wont use the 16th and the 26th pick cause they wanna move into the lottory for a veteren player and a pick. possible trade partners is either WIZARDS #5 or T’ WOLVES #6 wizards say there is no one there that can help them at #5 this year and wolves at #6 is very fond of Kirk Hinrich but if not…… at 16th i see a big
1.Bj mullens (if detroit don’t get him)
2.Tyler hansbrough
3. Dejaun Blair
and at 26th
1.Wayne Ellington (replacement to Ben Gordon)
2.Nick Calathas
3.Darren Collison (back up PG due to Lindsey hunter retirement and possible trade earlier in draft for Hinrich)0 - Posted on: Sun, 06/21/2009 - 6:14am #169599
ctw724ParticipantIf they go Wing early at #16, I would go with TWILL. If they go Wing late at #26, I would go with Sam Young.
DeJuan Blair and Sam Young should be and would be good picks for the Bulls.

deuce4offPITT your biased views are so old, lame, narrow-minded…dare I keep going? With Gordon on the way out they need to find someone to score, so if they don’t trade up I see them drafting a SG at 16. If we go big it will probably be Mullens if he’s available, his ceiling is 10x that of Blair’s. Time to trade Rose for Ramon Sessions right PITT…….? Better yet, sign Carl Krauser off the street and the Bulls could run a whole Pitt Panther squad out every night and get ran over. Sessions at 1, Krauser at 2, Young 3, Blair 4, Aaron Gray 5…….Ronald Ramon off the bench. 0-82

maravich44ParticipantI don’t want Mullens, but I’d rather have him than hear Pittbulls suggestion of Blair/Young. Neither fit! Don’t need third power forward, especially one with bad knees, undersized and limited offensive game.

bluedevils12Participanti say go big early and small late. as far as im concerned it isnt 2 much difference bt the 2 guards after the top 14 picks

ctw724ParticipantNot old, consistent!!! In terms of SG and/or Wing players like TWILL or Sam Young would fit in nicely. I have also mentioned Jermaine Taylor and Jerel McNeal. I don’t care for Gerald Henderson, Chase Budinger and Wayne Ellingon.
Feel free to support your own opinions, instead of bashing me for mine.

thetruthParticipantand trade the two first round picks just to get him.

Ecuadorboy0233Participanti dont for sure but i think by the time the bulls pick Wayne Ellington of UNC will still be available.

maravich44ParticipantConsistancy is one thing. Redundancy is another. Actually we agree on most things except the Pittsbulls and the amount of times it’s necessary to convey your opinion about them.

wildhogParticipantno one hopes for Meeks? You would rather have Thornton?

ghostfaceParticipantIf the Bulls want a big, they will have to take him at 16. Blair, J. Johnson, Hansbrough will be gone before the 26th. A lot people are saying they need a big man who can score a lot, but they are not going to find it in this draft, they would have to find it through a trade. Maybe the Clippers would be stupid enough to trade their #1. (Would this really surprise anyone) They do need some help on the glass, so a big at 16 probably makes sense. There will be solid sg’s guards at 26. I would probably take Tyler at 16, because I think toughness and tenacity will rub off on some of the other young players. I like him better than Johnson, because he plays a lot harder and is in better condition. I would take him over Blair, because he has a better offensive game. I’m not even going to go into Mullens, I’ve discussed him enough already on other posts.
The shooting guards seem to be all over the board so its really hard to know who will be available. One of the things the Bulls desperately need is defense on the perimeter. I like Sam Young and Meeks because they play good defense but also can score. I also like Elllington because he is such a great shooter and would play well off of Rose, who likes to drive and then kick it back out for a perimeter shot. But I think he will be gone by 26. If Meeks, Young, and Ellington are gone, I would take Tony Douglas because he can score in so many ways. I would not take Budinger unless they bring him off the bench. He’s just too soft to start.
