Pittsburgh’s Sam Young ( i know his probably 23 yrs old but look how he has improve during his pitt career), Louisville’s Terrence Williams( freshman yr he was a first round talent but now his consider as 2nd rounder. if he can just be more determine, he can crack the 1st round. just look at JR Gibben), Gonzaga’s Jeremy Pargo ( he got all the talent and ability but tries to do to much. if can stay under control and make better decison, nba team will draft him high 2nd round), VCU’s Eric Maynor ( his underrated and 1 team will be very happy to draft him),and UCCON’s AJ Price ( the price is right) and some other

Dominic James has crazy athleticism and hes a creative driver that will help him make a impact, Jeremy Pargo is very talented and will fit in on the right team, and Eric Maynor will be the best of the bunch he has the best mix of talent and athletic ability that will help him mesh with a pro team and be productive.

I agree about the Terrance Williams comment. He has the skill set to succeed at the next level. He can hit the mid-range jumper, take you off the dribble, he has great vision and is a tremendous passer. As a defender I’m not so how good he will be, but he seems to have enough atleticism to become a solid defender. He also has decent size at 6’6”. Also, he has been on a team that has had multiple options on offense taking away from some of his looks. I have Williams going somewhere between 22-28 in the 2009 draft.

I think Williams could really be the type of player that turns out to be a better pro than college player. On the right team he could turn some heads with his overall versatilty. Just got a feeling that he’ll be a guy that a lot of G.M ‘s wished they took a shot on. Pargo definitely has the abilty to really turn himself into a player with some work he could be good. Rice has the game to carve a niche for himself in the league could be a good spark for a team (reminds me of Troy Hudson). Luke Nevill has some size and some shot making ability can’t teach 7’2. He’s a center with some potential, think he could pan out for a patient team in need of some size. Maynor has a chance to be a standout as a rookie because he will probably be picked by a good team and if he’s put in the right situation where he can get some minutes I feel he will quickly work his way into the rotation. Matthews is a solid 2 guard, he’s gonna be good he has a little bit of everything. If he gets his jumper a little more consistant could be the best out of all the seniors. If Dozier ever got a little tougher he could be alright in the league. He has a nice jumpshot, good length,and plays defense. Just needs to gain some weight and get more aggressive he could make some money being a face up 4 man in the league. Antonio Anderson has the defense,the size,and versatilty. His jumpshot needs a lot of work,if he gets that going he could be a second unit perimeter stopper on the defensive end. Hansborough is a scrappy guy so I don’t want to just write him off,but don’t think he will ever be a starter,a pretty good second unit role player at best,and thats not bad. But he could surprise me because he’s a competitor and I respect that about him. Hansborough is just a little undersized yet he has some good athletecism and decent jump shot out to the college 3 point line. So it wouldn’t shock me if he exceeded some people’s expectations,including my own.

James has alot of things that you look for in a second unit point guard. The extra years at Marquette helped,maybe not his draft stock.but his overall game is better. If he can work on his medium to long range jumpshot he’ll become a solid pro. Type of guy that could flourish in the more wide open NBA setting,a little more space to operate. I feel like he’ll stick in the league with some work.

I grew up in Chicago and now live in Milwaukee and I gotta say, Wesley Matthews has really impressed me this year. I have been to several Marquette games the past 2 years and he has improved dramatically from last year. His ability to get to the line is a good sign for the NBA. He shoots at a high rate from the line and the arc. He also is a very solid rebounder and defensive player.I think he could be a solid 6th man for years to come. Mcsteal reminds me of a Luther Head type. He could come off the bench for defense and can hit the long range jumper. He is just a little undersized to play long minutes in my opinion.

Tough defender in every aspect, good size, athleticism, mindset and he can stroke it. Ball handling is one of the easiest things to improve on and thats the weakest part of his game. There’s shooting form which can be tough to correct (he has good form already), with ball handling, its all repitition and theres no mental block on repitition. I think that he can end up being a josh howard or danny granger type (less physical). he’ll be a steal in the early second round if he falls. If a team like charlotte could pick up someone like greg monroe then get danny granger with their second pick, that would completely change a team.

This is coming from a UCONN fan when i say Terrence Williams is a fucking animal!! He reminds me of Rudy Gay a little bit. (not at uconn like 2nd season in the NBA)

Don’t sleep on Douglas, thats my sleeper in the draft.

Danny Green is nowhere the athlete of Josh Howard or Granger. I think he is more of a “glue” piece than anything, but he doesn’t have that much “P”.

I agree about Toney Douglas, but I don’t think he is considered a sleeper with the senior season he had. He is also very undratted in his court vision. He is the firt or second best senior in this draft.

eric maynor,he’s got size,some athleticism,he isn’t that flashy but he’ll get the job done,he can definitely run the team and make guys around him better,he controls tempo with ease and he can stroke it,he’s definitely starting pg material,but there are questions about him,like how will his game translate in the nba and his overall potential,but he’s my pick to be the best among those guys

I think Sam Young can have an immediate impact in the league. His age hurts him though. A guy who I think is a sleeper but I think has a lot of upside is Dionte Christmas. He consistently put up solid numbers against good non conference competition. He is long, decently athletic and is a scorer.

Toney Douglas is a PG, but he reminds me of Joe Dumars. In fact, he is a Dumars clone.

Joe Dumars averaged 2.8 assists per game in college, then averaged 4.5 assists per game in the NBA.

Toney Douglas is the same type of player.

Florida State didn’t have any scorers around Toney, but from what I saw this season, Toney has excellent court vision and, like Dumars, will pass to the open man if a higher percentage shot is there. During his freshman year at Auburn, he had no scorers around him. During his first two years at Florida State, he had to share minutes with four other guards. This year, Toney was the only scorer Florida State had. As a full time PG, he led Florida State to a 25-10 record, the ACC championship game, and Florida State’s first NCAA tournament in over 10 years.

Statistics aside, Toney is NOT some Ben Gordon or Eddie House type whose sole focus is scoring.

Toney is Joe Dumars at both ends of the court. A well-rounded high IQ winner who will do whatever it takes to win.
