I don’t know about you guys, but every sports video game I play, I ALWAYS go for young guys. If I’m a GM in say Madden or NBA 2k10, no one on my roster is older than 26. This is no disrespect to the vets, but I always enjoy taking young players and developing them and watching them grow. With that in mind, if you had any choice between ANY rookie duos to build your team around, who would you take? For the sake of interest and seeing them play together, they have to be duos from the SAME team. You can look at it anyway you want. Me personally, not only am I looking at game tape and stats, but I am also see how the two rookies gel together. I’ve got it narrowed down to three pairs of rookies:

    1. Tyreke Evans and Omri Casspi – Very intriguing pair to have. Lots of fire power. Also, there is nice versatility, with Reke being able to play 1-2, and Casspi playing the 3-4.

    2. Darren Collison and Marcus Thornton – The surprise of the year. If I asked the same question right before the draft, no one would have thought about these two. A lot of people say someone like Blair was the steal of the draft, but Thornton is doing big things, a lot bigger than his 43rd selection should warrant. I put him ahead of Blair(the jury is still out on Mills and Price). I have no problem handing the keys to someone like DC. Even though he is TO prone, that just comes with the territory of being a rookie PG. Big ups to them.

    3. Ricky Rubio and Jonny Flynn – The wild card duo out of the three. Intriguing pair. Who plays point? Who plays the 2? Questions of their cohesion capabilities will be somewhat overlooked by their combined talent.

My choice has to go to DC and Marcus Thornton. They look like they work well together. I got my distributor in DC, and shooter in Thornton. I would not mind at all building around those guys. What do you guys think?

I do the same thing. I guess it’s because, well, those players are newer and i haven’t used them as much.

If you want to play these teams in a two on two then I take Darren Collison and Marcus Thornton. If you mean to have on my nba team I would take Tyreke and Omri.

well that is difficult one for me,Rubio&Evans aqre the best player bet the 6 (and the best of them to be decided in the next 2 years when Rubio comes) so I would simply have better player to build a team around
so If I am a playoff team I would take both Collison&Thornton as they can help me a lot but if I am a lotto team that is rebuilding Evans&Casspi is my choice
