2quick4uParticipanti say..:
–drop: i was thinking in hood or tyler ennis but i finally choose..gary harris: considered a top 10 in most mock drafts, i think he might fall between the 16-20 pick. james young, stauskas and lavine could be picked before him..
–rise: i was between tavares and payne but i choose adreian payne: proyected in the 20-25 range i think he could be picked between the 10-14 spot.

juves4783Participant-drop – jerami grant – 6-8, 208 lbs with (5) 3- point attempts all year. i don’t have any clue why his stock is so high. i’d take hood, anderson, mcdermott, gordon, saric, warren, early and daniels before this guy. luc mbah a moute 2.0. jordan clarkson would be my second choice if he can’t cut it a pg.
-rise – clint capela – i think he’s probably the best euro prospect outside of saric. can’t believe that a team like the suns or okc with multiple 1st round picks and plenty of depth wouldn’t take a chance on him with one of their picks. pj hairston would be my second choice. he’s probably a top 15 talent if he didn’t have off the court concerns and it’s a relatively weak sg class compared to the other positions.

Rip255I agree with Capela. Most athletic Euro player in the NBA ever.
The footage I’ve seen of him is a raw but extremely impressive big.

Memphis MadnessParticipantSupposedly Rodney Hood is dropping a bit. I can also see Gary Harris dropping. If a team needs a guy who can play the 2, I can see Exum, James Young, and even Nik Stauskas going ahead of him.
I can see Doug McDermott dropping some. He was as high as top 10ish at some points in the year. But, at 3 you have guys like Cleanthony Early, Rodney Hood, and DeAndre Daniels. Plus, if you want a shooter you can go with Harris, Young, or Stauskas. I could see him dropping to 20-25 or so.
Guys moving up? I can see James McAdoo moving back up. On my mock draft that I am working on, I have the Heat taking him at 26. The Heat have LeBron, Bosh, and Wade. They also have a couple of solid point guard options along with some veteran shooter types like Ray Allen and Shane Battier plus some extra bigs such as Birdman and Udonis Haslem. What they basically need though is a long, athletic guy who can do some different things (dunk, rebound, block shots). I can see McAdoo being a solid fit for them as a guy who can play some stretch four, or come off the bench as a 3 to backup LeBron.
McAdoo’s uncle Bob McAdoo is also an assistant coach with the Heat so maybe his uncle can keep an eye on him. And if James gets Uncle Bob’s shot then he could be a really good player.
I could also see Patric Young moving into the early part of the second round (or even late first round) based on the lack of big men in this draft. Patric Young is a proven commodity with solid athleticism and great size for a power forward.
As far as lottery guys go, I think Aaron Gordon can move up as high as 4-6. I made a case for him in my Sixers Draft thread. So he and Vonleh could switch places basically with Vonleh being the lotto guy who drops a bit.
I don’t know if he will get picked, but Luke Hancock is a guy with an NCAA title, a Final Four MOP award, and he is a guy who is a crafty scorer and a really good shooter from 3 when open. Philly has multiple late picks and a need for outside shooting. Why not take a flyer on this guy?
I could see Aaron Craft in the late 40’s/early 50’s range since pretty much every team could use some depth at point guard — especially cheap depth. Craft is a guy who can be a backup point guard for several years. Can’t really shoot or score, but he can run a team and defend pretty well. He is a guy who can make a roster and "fill a need".

juves4783Participanti agree on james mcadoo. at one point, i had him going to the spurs because both bonner and diaw are free agents. but i agree, him and patric young could easily move up because of lack of frontcourt depth in the back end of the 1st round.
i like aaron gordon too. espn insider is really high on him (in the 4-7 range).
+1. good analysis.

Magic JordanParticipantNot saying I disagree, but if Dougie Fresh drops to 20-25 boy would that be a steal for one of the contending teams. He will be able to legitimately spread the floor from day 1…. defensively??? Ehhhhh.

Sabdiego12345678Participantid say warren is more of a riser than a faller he is generally listed around 20 but could climb up into the late lottery

strobox88ParticipantI don’t see Gary Harris dropping outside of the top 10. His play in the tourney as well as the season has him pegged (for me) as the first two guard off the draft board. James Young and LaVine are next in line, but they are high risk-high reward picks. Stauskas is also there, but he doesn’t have the potential of the other guys (though I believe he’ll be a solid starter on a team someday).
Rise: Shabazz Napier. Once Smart and Exum are off the board (which should be no later than #6), he’s going to get lots of looks from teams looking for a point guard. Teams that can use him? Orlando (#12) and Chicago (#16)
Fall: SloMo (Kyle Anderson). Some people have this guy in the top 5 of their mock draft, which is hilarious if Marcus Smart and Dante Exum are still on the board. I don’t think he’s going to be a top 8 pick (even if the Pistons get #8, there’s gotta be better talent still left on the board), but 9-14 of the lottery is definitely a possibility. Once Smart and Exum are gone, Anderson, Ennis, Napier maybe Payton are the PGs to look at.

earldaniel31Participanti agree with regards to Gary Harris.. i don’t think he’ll drop pass Sacramento once both Exum & Smart are gone.. Kings only have 3 guards under contract (4 if they get Thomas back ; seriously doubt Terry will even play for them next season)

OhCanada-ParticipantRise- KJ Mcdaniels is projected by most as an early 2nd round pick. I see him going no later than Top 20. The reason for this is due to Warren and Earl having such a terrible assist to turnover ratio similar to Shabazz although I do see both Warren and Early as Top 25 picks I think Mcdaniels will be ahead of both when its all said and done.
Fall-Jerami Grant should be a good energy guy who scraps and gives your team extra possessions. Although with no offensive polish and no natural position also with being in that Syracuse zone he has many question marks which doesnt usually result in success come draft night. I see him as a late 1st round pick.
All of this is subject to change immediatly though. Any teambthat likes either player could scoop them immediatly.

TenSecondTomParticipantRise – Payne, Capela, Taveras (up to first maybe), Nurkic, Harrison, Micic
Fall – Anderson, Hood, Grant, Warren… A lot of quality wings in this draft I prefer Saric, McDermott, Harris, Stauskas, and Anderson which leaves a chance that some may fall. The opposite is true for the big men now that Harrell and WCS are out.

HobbyOGParticipantRise:Shabazz will rise because of tourney play, Warren out of N.C. State, I think he will do good in workouts and show people he is the real deal.
Drop: McBuckets, he should drop. He’s reminds me of all those other over hyped white guys (no disrespect) Morrison, Jimmer, etc. In his workouts he will get exposed on D, he’s too slow to really play the 3 and too small to play the four in college.
